Bottom Line

The 445-room Jurys Inn Birmingham is an established Irish-brand hotel that is of higher quality than an average mid-range hotel. Located on busy Broad Street, the hotel is near plenty of bars and restaurants and is within walking distance to many attractions. Unique, funky decor provides the hotel with a touch of personality that prevents it from feeling too generic. Rooms are simple and on the smaller side, but contemporary and pleasant with flat-screen TVs and electric kettles.

Jurys Inn Birmingham

Scene

Reliable Irish chain with a sleek, modern lobby

Located in what was formally the British Telecommunications tower, the Jurys Inn Birmingham is in a tall, imposing building. The large, sleek lobby is very modern and stylish. Glossy white marbled tiles cover the floors and columns are spread throughout the hall. Unique covered lights hang from the ceiling. The large front desk is elevated on a small platform and is covered in chic studded leather. Behind the front desk are large expansive windows and walls covered with black and white images of stacked vintage luggage, giving the space a unique, quirky tone. The lobby extends to the lounge and and bar area. The atmosphere is pleasant and somewhat upscale for a chain hotel.
