Staying Cool at the Rotunda

Scene

Apartment-style hotel in a modern, circular building with chic, futuristic decor

The Rotunda is a strikingly modern building, with unique, hip decor. The tall, circular glass building creates a rounded formation inside. Each floor has a circular lobby with lime green floors and large black and white photo of the building covering the entire wall, in which the rooms radiate from. The main lobby is futuristic looking with a narrow white hallway and small cylindrical lights hanging from the ceiling that gradually change colors. The overall atmosphere is futuristic and design-oriented, yet with a homey feel from the well-stocked apartments.

Rooms

Large, contemporary apartments with kitchens, sitting areas, and fantastic views

These large, chic, sophisticated apartments provide a unique experience for those wanting an alternative to a hotel. There are four different apartment styles to choose from -- Minis, Maxis, Clubmans and Roadsters -- all named after cars made at the nearby Longbridge factory. All the apartments have floor to ceiling windows instead of an exterior wall, which provide fantastic panoramic views, as well as French windows, which actually open. They also all have bedrooms with king-size beds, fully functional kitchens, dining areas, espresso machines, flat-screen TVs, Apple computers, sitting areas with couches and coffee tables, iPod docks, spacious closets, and a variety of other features. Some of the more luxurious apartments, include multiple bedrooms and balconies. Bathrooms are narrow but luxurious and bright, with all white tiled walls, sleek sink, and shower/tub combos.
