Bottom Line

The Boca Beach Club is located on a half-mile stretch of private beach on southern Florida’s Gold Coast. With three pools on-site, there are plenty of places to relax in the sun or take a dip. There’s also a shuttle boat that ferries guests between the Boca Beach Club and its sister hotel, the Boca Raton Resort, which offers more restaurant options, a spa, and a number of activities. Rooms are spacious and bright, with flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and Wi-Fi. The Boca Beach Club tacks on a nightly resort fee for Internet, fitness center access, and other guest services, but there are a variety of inviting restaurants and bars with ocean views on-site.

Oyster Hotel Review

Boca Beach Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort

Scene

Elegant beach hotel

The Boca Beach Club is modern and elegant, with two of the hotel’s restaurants separated by a simple fountain, into which guests can toss change to be collected and donated to the Florida Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranches. White flower petals hang over the entranceway, while down the hallways, the light-lined limbs of modern chandeliers extend out in curves, giving a sense of a swirling yellow light. These simple design touches in the large, mostly open-air space give a feeling of both comfort and sophistication to the lobby.

The hotel offers understated luxury to the vacationers that almost exclusively make up its clientele. There is no business center, nor event space at the Beach Club. The Boca Beach Club and the Boca Raton Resort sell themselves as a pair, both operated by the Waldorf Astoria, the Beach Club offering a more low-key, but equally chic option for guest who would like to be right on the ocean.

Features

Three sizable pools, variety of restaurants and bars, oversize 24-hour fitness center, and beach

The features at the Boca Beach Club are lovely, though guests are charged a nightly resort fee to use them. The three pools are surrounded by lounge chairs and rentable cabanas, and there’s drink and snack service throughout the day. The 24-hour fitness center is massive with lines of cardio machines, weight machines -- including Kinesis multifunctional stations -- and free weights. There’s also the sizable Boca Breeze boutique off the hotel’s lobby, selling beachwear and accessories.

The Mizner’s Dream shuttle boat runs between the Boca Beach Club and the Boca Raton Resort every 15 minutes beginning early in the morning and extending into late night, offering Beach Club guests easy access to its larger sister resort’s numerous activities, restaurants, and its spa.
