The lobby of the Best Western Plus Roundhouse Suites is warm and cozy, with high tables, several armchairs, and a back area with hot beverages and cold drinks. Literature and brochures from local attractions are available, and postcards and other travel necessities are available for purchase at the reception desk.

While located near many of Boston’s largest medical facilities and convenient to major highways and freeways, the hotel isn’t in a particularly attractive area. With fast food chains and heavy traffic, the area is rather dull, and there aren't any real destinations within walking distance besides hospitals. However, the hotel’s proximity to major roadways and public transportation means that with a car or the hotel’s free shuttle service, getting to major Boston attractions shouldn't take long; it's about a 10-minute drive to Copley Square and a 15-minute drive to Faneuil Hall.

Each room at this Best Western is a suite, with a separate living area and bedroom. All have kitchenettes with mini-fridges, coffeemakers, microwaves, and sinks, and each couch is also a pull-out bed. Rooms have a few charming traditional touches -- such as striped wallpaper, wall sconces, and gilded mirrors -- but in general are due for an upgrade. Still, they work well for longer stays or larger groups. Lower-level rooms can experience noise (such as ambulance sirens) from the nearby hospitals. Every room gets free HBO, free Wi-Fi, and free morning newspapers.

The hotel offers numerous freebies, including parking and shuttle service to hospitals. The free breakfast includes hot meats, eggs, cereal, fruit, and breads. A small fitness center is open during the day, and a 24-hour business center provides guests with printing services. The hotel also includes a meeting room for up to 75 people.
