Bottom Line

Like all Premier Inns, the Premier Inn Bristol East - Emersons Green is budget-friendly but appointed like a mid-range hotel. As of early 2015, rooms were being updated to modern Premier standard with large flat-screen TVs, new beds, and the wooden furnishings typical of the chain. Bristol city center is a 15-minute drive away, but the location is convenient for travelers with business in northeastern Bristol. Like all hotels in the chain, this one has limited facilities and a surprisingly good on-site restaurant and bar.

Oyster Hotel Review

Premier Inn Bristol East (Emersons Green) Hotel

Scene

Atmospheric exterior with patio and cozy restaurant

Blending in well with the area, this Premier Inn has a red-brick exterior with A-frame-style roofs and is surrounded by a landscaped garden of hedges and lawn; there's also a brick patio topped with wooden table sets that are popular with guests and families on dry, warm days. The attached Beefeater restaurant is split-level dining room with a classic wooden bar downstairs and more seating -- both booth and tables -- upstairs. The hotel lobby is rather sterile, with just a couple of chairs and a reception desk that give it the look of a clinic.

Location

On a major road near business district of northeastern Bristol

The hotel is situated on the outskirts of northeastern Bristol, near a busy traffic circle and the Bristol Ring Road, but far enough away from traffic not to be disturbed. Access to the city and motorways is convenient on the nearby A4174. The immediate area doesn’t have any restaurants or shops. The National Composites Centre and Bristol & Bath Science Park are on the other side of the roundabout, about a seven-minute and 11-minute walk, respectively. The Bristol City Centre is about a 15-minute drive away, and shopping at the Cribbs Causeway is just a little further. The beautiful and historic town of Bath is about a 30-minute drive away and Bristol Airport about 35 minutes. The hotel offers free parking.
