Hotel Castel Beau Site

Hotel Castle Beau Site is a family-run boutique hotel situated in a charming four-story mansion with a stone facade, top dormer windows, and entryway steps accented with rich purple flower pots. Originally built in 1930, the property was used by both German troops and the French army; it was later transformed into a hotel, undergoing major renovations in 2008. Decor is modern boutique-chic. In the lobby, mosaic tiled floors are paired with dark gray walls, a distinctive cloud-like wire pendant light, and rich violet accents, the latter of which are a common accent throughout the hotel, found mostly in the form of rich, velvety armchairs and drapes. The pebbled grounds surrounding the hotel are neatly finished with costal plants, while terraces feature relaxation and dining spaces that look onto the stony beach with its famous pink granite rocks. This hotel attracts leisure travelers, especially couples. 

Hotel Castel Beau Site sits right on Ploumanac’h inlet in the small seaside commune of Perros-Guirec. The area is famous for its rocky pink granite coast, and Castel Beau offers a prime view of the sea, rocks, and, from across the water, Château de Costaeres. A small handful of restaurants and shops are in walking distance, though this is more a leisure retreat than a nightlife or shopping destination. The hotel is a nine-minute walk from Ploumanac'h lighthouse, a 10-minute drive from the Trégastel aquarium, and a 18-minute drive from the planetarium de Bretagne. The Lannion - Côte de Granit Airport is a 15 to 20 minute drive, while the Guingamp railway station is about a 50-minute drive. Parking is available on-site, but it costs an extra fee. 

Stylish rooms coordinate with the modern, boutique-chic look of the hotel itself. Though they vary slightly from room-to-room, most feature oak wood floors and white or cream-colored walls that pair nicely with a combination of black furniture, dark accent walls, and bright velvety fabric accents (in either purple, red, or orange, depending on the floor). Most rooms have balconies, and all rooms offer glimpses of the sea, though guests sometimes find the vistas from "side sea view" rooms a bit of a letdown. Bathrooms are modern and stylish with dark tiling, square sinks, and wet-room style hydromassage showers. But, while most rooms have a separate toilet stall, the rest of the bathroom is hidden behind a glass wall and gauzy curtain that offers little privacy. 

Rooms include flat-screen TVs, iPod ports, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms have hairdryers, high-end Omnisens toiletries, and bathrobes and slippers. Rooms do not have minibars or mini-fridges, and not all have coffeemakers (though some have Nespresso-style pod coffee machines). 

The hotel has a chic fine-dining restaurant and a stylish bar and lounge serving more casual eats and offering an extensive Champagne list. A buffet breakfast is available daily, with cooked-to-order options, but it costs an extra fee. Outside, terraces offer waterside spots to dine, drink, and relax. The advertised spa is mostly just a hot tub and a single treatment room, though a nice range of massages and other treatments are offered. There's no gym, fitness center, or pool, however guests have direct access to the beach. 

The hotel also offers meeting and event rooms and free Wi-Fi. Pets are allowed for an extra nightly fee. For guests traveling with kids, the hotel offers cribs (extra fee) and kids' menus, and childcare can be arranged. The property provides concierge service, laundry service, and 24-hour room service. Bikes are available to borrow, and parking is offered, but it costs an extra fee.
