Bottom Line

Rock Creek Cabins offers rustic cabins near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and about five minutes from Bryson City. Some cabins are a bit more secluded than others, while all cabins have kitchens stocked with cooking ware, separate dining and living rooms, and fireplaces. It’s a great place to take in the scenery -- there’s an outdoor fire pit with mountain views, and all cabins have outdoor hot tubs. A cleaning fee is charged in addition to rental rates, and the steep roads leading to the cabins can be tricky to navigate.

Rock Creek Cabins

Scene

Rustic cabins with varying degrees of seclusion

Rock Creek Cabins -- which come with either one, two, or three bedrooms -- are spread out across three different areas with varying levels of seclusion; guests should check with property staff when booking to find out where their cabin will be. Three-bedroom cabins are the most secluded, though all cabins feel private, with lots of plants and elevation changes contributing to a hidden, authentically woodsy atmosphere. The property is beautiful throughout, with color-changing leaves in autumn, and an outdoor fire pit at a location with amazing views of the mountainous region -- up to 30 miles' worth of views on clear days. One of the three locations is an eight-acre parcel studded with seven cabins, each separated by at least 200 feet. Cabins are unique in structure, ranging from a traditional log cabin to a mountaintop green cottage to an adorable A-frame chalet. Some cabins are near a farm, where the sound of a rooster crowing can be a charming nuisance.
