Bottom Line

This 15-room, three-and-a-half pearl boutique property is located on a quiet tree-lined street in the trendy
neighborhood of Palermo Soho. Though slightly outside the city center, the BoBo Hotel, in a pleasant three-story neoclassical town house, is near lots of cafes, shops, and restaurants, and is within an eight-minute walk of the Plaza Italia metro station. Guest rooms are bright and tastefully stylish, and most have balconies or terraces that face the street or inner courtyard. Travelers might want to also check out the Aspen Square, which has a rooftop
pool and a fitness center, at slightly higher rates. The Duque Hotel Boutique & Spa, with an outdoor pool in a garden setting, is another option.

Scene

In an early-20th-century town house with renovated and relaxed interiors

The BoBo Hotel describes
itself as “bourgeois bohemian,” hence its quirky name, which fits not only the
property but also the trendy neighborhood it’s situated in. On a pleasant tree-lined street, the hotel occupies a charming town house that dates to 1927, and has arched windows and doorways, and two beautiful wrought-iron
doors -- one is the entrance to the hotel, and the other leads to the adjoining
BoBo Restaurant. The modern lobby is welcoming and bright, with gleaming
tile floors, a large mirror behind the reception desk, and a cozy sitting area
with an oversize white sofa and bright-red armchairs. On the ground floor is a small but pleasant glassed-in courtyard with cobblestones and trees,
and a terrace filled with potted plants and patio furniture. The atmosphere is laid-back, cozy, and unpretentious. The hotel is popular with leisure travelers who like to stay slightly off the beaten track.

Location

In the heart of trendy Palermo Soho

BoBo Hotel is located in the
heart of trendy Palermo Soho, an upscale neighborhood with lots
of cool cafes, bars, and restaurants. The area also has good
transportation links, with Plaza Italia metro station an eight-minute walk
away. The Botanical Garden and adjoining Zoo are 10 minutes away on foot. By
bus, it’s a 25-minute ride to the historic neighborhood of Recoleta, 30 minutes
to Tres de Febrero Park (Palermo Woods), and 33 minutes to the Museum of Latin
American Art. Jorge Newberry International Airport is a 20-minute drive from the hotel, while it's about a 90-minute drive to Ministro Pistarini International Airport.

Rooms

Bright and comfortable rooms with pleasant balconies

The 15 guest rooms are bright, stylish, and fairly spacious, with elegant features such as high ceilings,
hardwood floors, and large double doors opening onto balconies or terraces with
potted plants, garden furniture, and views of the street or the
pleasant interior courtyard. Rooms are decorated in three styles. “Minimalist” means just that: These rooms have white walls
and black furniture, accented with paper-globe lampshades, and a few pieces of
abstract art, and bathrooms with
mosaic tiles in earth shades covering the vanity top and vessel sinks. “Oriental” rooms have such decorative accents as Asian-style lamps and fans, while “Vintage” rooms have stained-glass lampshades
and patterned wallpaper. All rooms are air-conditioned, and come with free Wi-Fi,  flat-screen
TVs, DVD and CD players, hairdryers, and toiletries; higher-priced rooms have minibars. The
Senior Suite includes a heart-shaped whirlpool bath, a
large walk-in shower room, a minibar, and a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee machine. But some rooms have started to show some signs of wear and tear, such as worn
furniture or curtains, and scuffed walls.

Features

Free a la carte breakfast, on-site BoBo Restaurant and Bar, leisure room

The hotel's free breakfast is served each morning a la
carte, with many continental and local items to choose from. The on-site BoBo
Restaurant and Bar is open for lunch and dinner, serving Argentine,
Mediterranean, and Asian dishes in an elegant setting of stained-glass windows,
high ceilings, and hardwood floors. Hotel guests receive a discount when
dining here. A cozy leisure room overlooking the courtyard is filled with sofas and books, and videos can be watched on the flat-screen TV. A
small business center has a computer for guests’ use and a few local
newspapers. Other features include room service, car hire, airport shuttle service,
currency exchange, concierge, luggage storage, laundry, and fax and
photocopying. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
