Bottom Line

Loi Suites Recoleta is an upscale, 112-room apartment-style hotel in the swanky Recoleta neighborhood, surrounded by art galleries, restaurants, and the famous Recoleta Cemetery. Of the three Loi Suites properties in the area, Recoleta is by far the swankiest -- featuring a small but lovely pool in a glass-atrium garden setting, a modern fitness center, a sauna, an on-site restaurant and bar, and a tasty free breakfast buffet. Spacious, sophisticated studios and suites have big bathrooms, modern amenities, and kitchen areas with sinks, minibars, coffee/tea service, and microwaves. The nearby Dazzler Recoleta has fewer amenities, but guests might enjoy the more futuristic decor and (usually) lower rates.

Sophisticated hotel with a beautiful glass-roof atrium

Fitting for the posh Recoleta neighborhood, Loi Suites Recoleta -- part of an Argentinian chain with three properties in Buenos Aires -- offers refined, minimalistic decor and upscale amenities. The 12-story building welcomes guests with a cobblestone, porte-cochère entryway. The lobby is bright with large windows, beige tiled floors, and white walls. Throughout, the color palette is neutral but sophisticated with rich wood furniture and upholstery in gray, beige, or white. The crown jewel of the hotel is the Winter Garden, a spacious, plant-filled, glass-roofed atrium with marbled tables and wicker chairs, plus a heated swimming pool at the back. With its excellent location and spacious rooms, the hotel attracts a range of travelers, such as business guests and tourists, including some families with children.
