This pousada offers two rooms for kids' activities, a well-equipped playground, children's pool, nursing room, and even a kitchen for parents. Some of the 38 spacious and air-conditioned rooms come with hot tubs and/or balconies. However, some of the in-room decor looks dated, particularly in rooms housed in the older part of the hotel. Those wanting something more modern should request a room in the new annex, added in 2012.

The resort has an unusually wide selection of supervised activities for kids and facilities for children and parents -- there's even a kitchen for parents to heat up baby food. The playground is full of colorful and exciting games and toys and there are two playrooms, one for toddlers and the other for older children. The kids' pool is spacious and equipped with water toys. There's also an "adults only" area with a wine cellar housing an admirable collection of old and new world wines.

The historical center of Buzios -- defined by idyllic cobblestone streets, restaurants, bars, cafes, and good swimwear, apparel, and souvenir shopping -- is a 10-minute drive away. Buzios is also well known for its art galleries, and its night club scene is particularly lively during the summer months (December to March).

All rooms have white walls and ceramic tile floors. Bright textiles give some of the rooms a colorful, tropical feel. Bathrooms feature ceramic tiles and come with hairdryers and toiletries. Most come with spacious balconies equipped with hammocks.
The new annex (opened in 2012) houses 10 spacious Master Rooms with two queen beds in each. These have a modern and fresh look. Master Rooms offer the best value with ample space and good size balconies. Superior Deluxe Rooms offer whirlpool tubs, but the bathrooms appear dated.
