Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

The all-inclusive, adult-only Pueblo Bonitio Pacifica Resort is a tranquil, upscale resort on a gorgeous beach. It feels removed and secluded, but the Cabo nightlife is only about a 10-minute drive away. Amenities are plentiful: there are two beautiful pools, tennis courts, five restaurants (including sushi and Italian options), five bars (no well liquor here; they serve Absolut, Bacardi, and Cuervo 1800, along with over 50 brands of liquor), a large fitness center, and a full-service spa with a whirlpool and a meditation labyrinth. All 154 rooms feature understated beach decor with Mexican accents such as local artwork and floor mosaics. All rooms also have ocean-view and balconies and free Wi-Fi. Still, couples looking for a quiet, romantic getaway should be pleased with this option.

Montecristo Estates Luxury Villas

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

Travelers with big budgets can stretch out in these pinch-me-now, three-bedroom/three-and-a-half-bathroom cliffside villas overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The luxury development is a few miles outside of Cabo San Lucas within a gated community under the umbrella of Pueblo Bonito, with sister resorts here and closer to town. Montecristo, for its part, offers 151 bi-level houses that can sleep eight guests each. Villas are similar in design with high-end amenities such as infinity pools, gourmet kitchens, and stainless steel Weber grills, to name a few. Guests are granted free access to Montecristo's own facilities, as well as Pueblo Bonito's beach, pools, and restaurants (all-inclusive packages are available). Golfers also have access to the award-winning Quivira golf course. Free shuttle service is provided to key points around the resort and to town, though a car will come in handy.

Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

Everyone staying at this iconic cliffside resort has unlimited access to multiple bars and restaurants, as well as 24-hour room service. The main restaurant is a first-come/first-served buffet, which is decorated in contemporary style, sits at the top of a cliff, and offers indoor and outdoor seating (no reservations are required). The resort's recent expansion included major attention to the pool area, which now boasts three distinct areas and drinks service. There are two tennis courts (balls and racket rentals are included), and a large, modern fitness center. A daily activities program includes aerobics classes, pool games, and stretching on the beach. Rates are among the most competitive in the area for an upscale resort.

4

Royal Solaris Los Cabos

San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

All guests at mid-range Royal Solaris are on an all-inclusive package that gives them access to four restaurants (two are a la carte) and four bars (one is a swim-up). The attractive property also has four pools, a beautiful beach with loungers under thatched umbrellas (the water is not typically swimmable), daily activities, evening entertainment, kids' and teens' clubs, a spa, and a water park. The 390 traditionally decorated rooms feature furnished balconies, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges stocked with free beer and wine.

5

Hotel Riu Santa Fe

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

Located just outside of downtown Cabo San Lucas, the Riu Santa Fe is a classic Cabo all-inclusive megaresort. This enormous hotel has 902 simple rooms with huge bathrooms. The all-inclusive program here includes drinks -- although don't expect a variety of liquors -- meals, and entertainment. While some guests complain about mediocre food, this resort does offer a gigantic pool with plenty of space to sunbathe. Extra hotel perks include a fitness center, spa, and nightly entertainment, butlounge chairs can fill up early and the water is too dangerous for swimming.

6

Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa

Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Baja California, Mexico

Is this the most modern all-inclusive resort to be found in downtown Cabo San Lucas? No. But for travelers in search of a simple, mid-range property that has a relaxed atmosphere with just enough socializing, it definitely fits the bill. The 155 nautical-themed rooms are pleasant and clean, though the dated bathrooms are disappointing. With two pools and a swim-up bar, mature couples mix with bachelorette parties and small groups of friends creating a lively -- but generally not wild -- vibe. There's also a modern gym with a trainer and a dated spa. The food and beverage program is extensive and includes La Palapa, the poolside bar that serves breakfast and lunch. The Golden Zone offers an even wider array of dining options, and most of the restaurants and bars partake in the hotel's Dine Out All-Inclusive Plan. These a la carte restaurants offer a wide variety of options, from seafood restaurants to traditional Mexican, Japanese, and Italian.
