Bottom Line

Hotel Miramare Stabia is an upper-middle-range property situated on the Castellammare di Stabia, overlooking the Gulf of Naples. All 50 rooms and suites feature balconies with full or partial sea views, along with solid amenities, including minibars, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Junior Suites add whirlpool tubs in the bathrooms. Amenities include a pool deck with lovely sea views and an adjacent snack bar, a restaurant with a free continental buffet breakfast, and a lobby bar with indoor and outdoor seating -- but there's no gym or spa. Note that there isn't a swimmable beach. Travelers looking for something a tad more luxurious may want to consider La Medusa Hotel & Boutique Spa, which features more elegant amenities but is inland and slightly removed from town.

Hotel Miramare Stabia

Scene

Sea-facing hotel with bright lobby and great views; popular with vacationing couples

The upper-middle-range Hotel Miaramare Stabia occupies a cream-colored building on a slightly rundown street, overlooking the Gulf of Naples. The lobby is bright and cheery, with large windows and recessed lighting plus off-white walls with bright colorful nautical artwork, shelving units with china in hues of gold, blue and white, and a few tall pots with decorative twisting driftwood branches. There's a bar off to one side, and the lobby extends out to a lovely gulf-facing deck, accessible via glass floor-to-ceiling doors. The hotel attracts tourists, notably couples, though meeting- and wedding-planning services are available. Small pets are welcome with advanced arrangements.
