Some of our favorite spaces include the mini racetrack complete with kid-sized small plastic cars to take for a spin; the glamorous and glizty beauty salon/fashion runway room; the arcade; the art room; and life-sized doll house room -- just to name a few. But Moon Palace's kid-friendly amenities don't stop there. You'll also find a snack bar, mini-golf, an outdoor playground, and mini-theater, plus plenty of pools.

8

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Royalton Riviera Cancun all-inclusive is a fresh and modern resort near Puerto Morelos. While not technically in Cancun proper, it's close enough to reach the lively Hotel Zone if needed. However, with so much to see and do on-site, there will be little incentive to do so. For starters, rooms here are sharp and contemporary, and swim-up suites are available (always popular with families vacationing in Mexico). You'll also find tons of actually great dining options that don't require reservations. The 11 pools are a major draw for families with kids, as is the Royalton Riviera Cancun kiddy splash park. Kids and teens clubs round out the family-friendly features, though there's also a beach. If adults need to get away, activities include yoga, Zumba, and aqua aerobics plus a terrific spa with hydrotherapy pools

9

NIZUC Resort and Spa

Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The ultra-luxurious NIZUC is easily one of Cancun's snazziest resorts, managing to have an elegant vibe without any pretense. It's also a great place for people who want to be away from the party atmosphere that so often characterizes Cancun, as it's removed from the Hotel Zone. While it's quieter than some of the other resorts in the area, there’s still plenty to do here, particularly if you’re fonder of low-key activities than of partying. While many of the guests are couples, NIZUC family amenities are plentiful, including a kids' club with games, ping-pong, video games, and a stage, plus a range of water sports for older kids and teens.

10

Finest Playa Mujeres

Playa Mujeres Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Finest Playa Mujeres all-inclusive opened in 2015 with a bright, modern look that makes it an appealing pick for families that want a little style with their kid-friendly amenities. Rooms are outfitted with free minibars, flat-screen TVs, espresso makers, and balconies or terraces -- some with ocean views and others with direct pool access. However, it's Finest Playa Mujeres' kid-friendly features that make this an incredibly popular option for families. Perks for kids range from a cool children’s pool with slides and a playground to kids’ clubs for different ages, a game room, kids’ theater, mini-disco, and even a children's area in the spa. Entertainment in the evening is appropriate for all ages, though you'll also adult activities throughout the day. Grown-ups should also note that all-inclusive rates include premium liquor and lobster.

11

Panama Jack Resorts Cancun

Cancun Hotel Zone, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The Panama Jack Resorts Cancun sits right in the middle of the buzzing Hotel Zone and can make for a great value. However, you'll need to be a high-energy family, as the resort isn't the most peaceful in the area. The competitive prices draw a fair number of partiers and families seeking bargains. You should expect to see lots of poolside activities like tequila volleyball. Even so, families will find a kiddy splash park with a pirate ship and slides, and evening entertainment. Multiple restaurants and bars include buffet and Italian options, and food receives mostly positive reviews. Updated in 2017, the 458 rooms are stylish and beachy, all with hammock-equipped terraces (some with stunning sea views).

12

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Located in Puerto Morelos, a 45-minute drive south of Cancun, Grand Residences Riviera Cancun is an all-suite property with a quiet, laid-back atmosphere suiting families wanting to get away from the spring break crowd. It’s right on a white-sand beach with waters calm enough for swimming, which isn’t always the case at properties in the Hotel Zone. The Grand Residences kids' club offers all sorts of great amenities, including sand art, face painting, and an Xbox, and the resort organizes plenty of activities for guests of all ages, from pool games to handicraft workshops. There’s even a dedicated family pool with a shallow area for kids on a lower tier.

13

Iberostar Selection Cancún

Cancun Hotel Zone, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The sprawling Iberostar Selection Cancun all-inclusive offers plenty for kids and parents alike, with an 18-hole championship golf course, beach, tennis courts, a soccer pitch, and a large main pool. For younger guests, there's a separate kids' pool plus the Iberostar Cancun Aquafun water park with slides, fountains, and a pirate ship. There's also a mini-disco for younger kids. The kids' club, Star Camp, features separate dedicated programs for kids in several age ranges — up through the teenage years — each with its own set of activities ranging from games to cooking lessons. The restaurant features a kids' menu, too, and babysitting services are available for a fee.

14

Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico

Although at first glance the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa seems very much an adult spot, this upscale all-inclusive offers a ton of great amenities for families. The resort's kids' club is open from morning until late at night and offers supervised activities for youngsters including weekly camping adventures right on the beach. There's also a ball pit, a climbing wall, a splash fountain, and indoor and outdoor play areas plus sandcastle contests and even piñata competitions.

15

Royal Solaris Cancun

Cancun Hotel Zone, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The 300-room, Mexican-owned Royal Solaris Cancun all-inclusive has plenty of family-friendly features, including a water park and kids' club. This resort is best-suited to families on a budget, and despite relatively low rates offers plenty of things to keep guests entertained. The kids' club includes an animal-themed water park full of slides, fountains, and adventure courses. If they ever leave the water, there is also an indoor area with activities for most kids up to 12. You'll also find the requisite buffets, pools, and a pretty stretch of beach to keep most family members of all ages happy.

16

Omni Cancun Resort & Villas

Cancun Hotel Zone, Quintana Roo, Mexico

The Omni chain is known for its great kids’ program, and the Omni Cancun is no different. Upon check-in, kids receive a backpack with games, books and toys, and get milk with cookies on the first night. The hotel is located along an expansive beach along the Nichupte Lagoon, which has calm, clean waters. There’s also a kids’ pool and daily activities for the little ones. Overall, it's a comfortable family-friendly option, and grounds include tropical gardens surrounding three pools, and the mega-Jacuzzi with seating for up to 35 guests, tennis/basketball courts, a fitness center, and spa. Rooms aren't the most attractive, but you'll likely be busy outside for most of your vacation anyway.
