Golden Taurus Aquapark Resort

Palm trees surround the main pool area at the Golden Taurus Park Resort, giving the space a pretty, tropical feel. The area has a big pool and two separate, smaller children’s pools. A second pool area includes a pool with a wooden bridge crossing it and a thatched-roof bar in the middle. There’s a tennis court and a shed housing sports equipment, including tennis rackets, roller skates, and bicycles for rent. The big outdoor playground is sandy, with several plastic slides and a small, miniature golf course nearby. Inside, the lobby is ornate. Cool details include carved wooden furniture, an overhead circular cut-out painted to look like the sky, and a traditional English phone booth. 

Golden Taurus Park is located in the coastal town of Pineda de Mar. An underpass across from the hotel leads to the long, sandy beach within a few minutes’ walk. The town center, where guests will find plenty of restaurants and bars, lies within a 10-minute walk. The airport in Girona can be reached in about a 45-minute drive, and Barcelona’s airport is around an hour's drive. 

Rooms are clean and pretty with hard wooden floors and teal-blue accent walls with matching desks. Tasteful furnishings include royal-blue curtains and brown-and-blue striped bedspreads. Rooms have mini-fridges and wall-mounted flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms are modern, with makeup mirrors, and basic toiletries that include combs, and shower/tub combinations. Balconies are small and furnished with plastic tables and chairs, and guests recommend requesting a sea view. Views overlooking the palm trees by the pool, the sandy beach beyond, and, of course, the blue sea waters are particularly lovely.

The buffet restaurant can get busy, but it offers a variety of food, including seafood and salad options. For in-between meal times, the snack bar serves pizza, sandwiches, and ice cream. The hotel has two separate outdoor pool areas, including two children’s pools. There’s also an indoor pool and whirlpool. There's also a kids’ club, a sandy outdoor playground, and a miniature zoo houses peacocks and ducks. There are three bars, and the main bar offers evening entertainment. The hotel has free parking and free Wi-Fi in the common areas.
