Sant Pere del Bosc Hotel & Spa is impressive for its monastery-like tan exterior with Catalan features of curved windows and a charming steeple. The gardens with green lawns accented by bushes and tropical trees add to the level of charm. With cabanas and red earthen patios set with tables and chairs, the hotel encourages guests to interact and relax outdoors. Compared to the grounds, the lobby lacks spaciousness, though it manages to still be elegant with glossy black and white floors and sophisticated furniture. Shelves of books and desks filled with paperwork and binders, however, takes away from the overall elegant look. The outdoor terrace is upscale with white tablecloth-covered tables and black chairs and forest views, the indoor dining area is more rustic and down-to-earth with a curved brick ceiling and wooden tables with colorful turquoise tablecloths. Per its location and romantically elegant rooms, the hotel draws mostly couples looking for quiet vacations. 

Sant Pere del Bosc Hotel & Spa doesn’t offer the typical beachfront stay in Lloret de Mar. Rather, the hotel is hidden among a forest about a 20-minute drive from the nearest beach, and is reachable only by car along a dirt path. It’s a perfect location for those who want a quiet, romantic getaway. Beyond a few churches within a 16-minute walk away, it’s about a 17-minute drive to the city center of Lloret de Mar which has a variety of dining and shopping options. Travelers can take an 18-minute drive to Water World or a 30-minute drive to Marineland Catalunya, both water parks, for some daytime fun. Sant Joan and the Botanical Garden Marimutra are 20-minute drives away. It’s a 50-minute drive to Girona-Costa Brava Airport or a 90-minute drive to Barcelona-El Prat Airport. 

Inspired by famous people, artists, flowers, and colors, the 19 rooms and suites here are individually decorated to reflect the room’s name. Though all have varying color palettes and decorative elements, all of the rooms offer an elegant design and quiet atmosphere. Expect ornate headboards and exquisite details such as chandeliers and stylish furniture. Take note that some rooms feel a bit dated as they feature antique furniture that creates an elegant, but old-fashioned vibe, which may not be to all guests’ liking. All rooms feature flat-screen TVs, stocked mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and safes. Coffee- and tea-making facilities are only provided in upper-level rooms. Like the rooms, bathrooms vary in design. Some have glass showers and others feature shower/tub combos. Some rooms have bidets, too. Toiletries and hairdryers are provided. Views vary among the rooms, from garden views to sea views.

Features focus mainly on relaxation. The hotel’s outdoor saltwater swimming pool is a lovely way to start the day. The area is filled with cabanas, day beds, and loungers, and is serviced by a bar. For an alternative way to relax, there’s a spa that has an indoor saltwater pool circuit and hammam, plus 50 types of massage and beauty treatments. The spa facilities cost a fee to use unless you book a treatment. The restaurant offers modern and health-conscious local cuisine with indoor and outdoor seating. Breakfast buffets are available each morning and includes mostly continental items. There are a few attractive meeting rooms that can hold up to 40 people. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and parking doesn’t incur a charge.
