Polished interiors at this three-and-a-half-pearl Hilton property feature a contemporary elegance and an inviting atmosphere. There is plenty of seating and corners to relax in in the spacious lobby, be it on a velvet green couch or at the bar. Large windows fill the space with natural light. Muted neutral shades feel sophisticated and are injected with pops of color and green plants. There is outdoor space with a large patio furnished with chic wicker seating and fire pits that makes a nice spot in which to gather. Some of the spaces here feel chainlike, particularly the restaurant, where neutral shades and dark booth seating make for a bland look. Guests are a mix of business and leisure travelers, though the hotel's location may not be the best for those wishing to explore Charlotte.

The hotel is situated off of Interstate 485, about a 25-minute drive southwest of Charlotte. There are a couple of other neighboring Hilton hotels (a Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites) as well as several dining options lining the street, plus there are more restaurants within a 10- to 15-minute walk or a five-minute drive of the property. Options include Applebee's, a Mexican restaurant, and a sports bar. Popular area attractions include Carowinds theme park (15-minute drive), the Billy Graham Library (13-minute drive), NASCAR Hall of Fame (20-minute drive), the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art (20-minute drive), Freedom Park (25-minute drive), and the Levine Museum of the New South (25-minute drive). Charlotte Douglas International Airport is about an 18-minute drive away.

The hotel offers one- and two-bedroom suites, all featuring a sleek and polished contemporary style favoring neutral hues. The abundance of gray can feel a bit bland, but the spaces are clean and pleasant. All units have living areas (separate living rooms in most; living areas in studios) that are furnished with sofas, as well as work desks and wet bars with microwaves, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Other standard amenities include 42-inch flat-screen TVs, safes, irons/ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have extras like fireplaces and dining areas. Premium Suites feature Keurig coffee machines, drinks and snacks, and premium Wi-Fi. Sleek and modern bathrooms have walk-in showers. Magnifying mirrors, Neutrogena toiletries, and hairdryers are also supplied. Higher-category bathrooms have soaking tubs and separate showers. Most rooms overlook the hotel's front entrance and parking lot. 

Features cater to leisure and business travelers. The hotel has a small indoor pool with a couple of tables and chairs on the surrounding pool deck. Pool towels are on hand for guest use. Other wellness features include a 24/7 fitness center that's decently equipped with a solid set of Precor cardio- and strength-training machines. The hotel's restaurant, Brickstones Grill, serves classic American fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A free breakfast is served in the mornings and includes made-to-order dishes, plus grab-and-go options are available as well. There's also a free daily evening reception with drinks and snacks.

The hotel offers meeting and event space, plus there's a business center with computers and a printer. A small on-site shop sells snacks, drinks, and sundries. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Guests can park for free in the hotel's outdoor lot.
