The Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport is a modern and comfortable chain hotel popular with transit passengers and business travelers. The bright lobby has big windows, tan couches, patterned armchairs and a contemporary green-and-brown tile fireplace. Wood floors and tan tile run throughout. The breakfast serving area has updated granite countertops and recessed lighting, while the dining area has a flat-screen TV, light-green chairs, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Modern light fixtures hang from the ceiling and many tables are topped with speckled granite.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte Airport is directly off I-85, a five minute drive from the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The Bank of American Stadium, Charlotte Convention Center, and NASCAR Hall of Fame are all within 10 minutes away by car, while the Billy Graham Library, the Discovery Place, and the Time Warner Cable Arena are about a 15-minute drive away.

The rooms at the Hampton Inn are cozy and stylish, with patterned carpets and large dark-wood cabinets with microwaves, mini-fridges, and flat-screen TVs. Beds have beige padded headboards propped against blue and brown accent walls. All rooms have a corner desk with big leather office chars and some come with gray sofas. Suites have balconies and living areas in addition to a small kitchen area with a sink and granite countertops. Bathrooms feature speckled granite countertops and shower/tub combos or walk-in showers. Neutrogena toiletries are provided. Although the clean, contemporary rooms get generally good feedback, some guests have complained of noise from airplanes overhead. 

The free hot breakfast with cereal, eggs, bread, and pancakes is a plus for most guests and receives excellent reviews. This hotel also offers free Hampton On the Run breakfast bags with a few simple items for travelers who don't have time to sit down for a meal. White lounge chairs surround the lovely indoor pool and hot tub, and large floor-to-ceiling windows provide generous natural light. The on-site convenience store, Suite Shop, has snacks, drinks, and toiletries, and there is a small fitness center with free weights and a few cardio machines. There's also a 24-hour business center with two computers and a fax machine/scanner/copier. The hotel also offers a free airport shuttle 24 hours a day.
