Bottom Line

The 3 Sis is a small two-and-a-half pearl hotel located in the heart of historical old town Chiang Mai. It's across the street from Wat Chedi Luang and right by the Sunday Night Walking Street Market. The rooms here are small and fairly basic, and set in two separate wings. Each room comes standard with a small flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and mini-fridge, plus free breakfast. The hotel has a lovely lobby that is spacious and filled with art, comfy sofas, a carp pond, and tourist brochures and magazines. A small cafe serves a la carte lunch and dinner, but there are no other facilities like a gym or a pool. You don't get many extras here, but the prices are decent compared to similar properties in the neighborhood.

The 3 Sis

Scene

Quiet budget hotel popular with couples

The 3 Sis is a quiet hotel, sitting in a shady niche just across from Wat Chedi Luang Temple in the heart of the old city in Chiang Mai. Guests here tend to be those looking for a budget value stay in a prime location; most folks are out exploring the temples and other sights during the day. The hub of the place is the cozy cafe, which gets crowded during breakfast, and then is a bit more peaceful during the day, providing a tranquil spot in which to have a coffee, read a book, and relax. At night, the cafe lights up and is a popular spot for dinner. A colorful chalkboard sign advertises specialty shakes, sodas, and coffees.

The hotel lobby is the other place to relax. It has plenty of couch space and squishy bean bag chairs, lots of tourist brochures and magazines to read, and a carp pond at one end. Pieces of art and planted ferns add color and interest to the space. As the guest rooms here are small, the hotel attracts couples as opposed to large groups or families.
