On the edge of Copenhagen's tourist district in the Nansengade, the 118-room Ibsens Hotel is within a five-minute walk of the University of Copenhagen's Botanical Gardens and the Norreport metro station. Rooms in this middle-range property are airy, with modern Scandinavian design touches. The Ibsens shares restaurants and a fitness center with the neighboring Hotel Kong Arthur, and receive a discount at a nearby spa. Ibsens Hotel

Scene

Modern design hotel favored by tourists

The Ibsens Hotel shares some facilities with its sister property, the Hotel Kong Arthur. Modern and clean, the Ibsens exudes freshness. Stylish, minimalist, and colorful Danish furniture and design dominate the property. The small lobby includes a smattering of furniture, and mixes charcoal, gray, and white with the occasional splash of vivid color in the form of a chair or shelves. There's also a small library with a table and chairs, and a few guidebooks for guests to thumb through. Three restaurants serve tapas, sushi, and Italian fare. An outdoor courtyard, which doubles as a smoking area, provides additional seating, along with an electric grill. With no business center, the hotel caters mainly to tourists, although its location might make it feasible for business travelers too.
