Bottom Line

This laid-back, mid-range hotel is fun but low-key. It doesn't have the extensive amenities of the bigger resorts, but has a large pool, poolside bar/restaurant, and evening entertainment (like Greek Night). It's located right off the main road and is within walking distance to many of the town's shops, restaurants, and nearby beaches. The 33 rooms are apartment-style, with kitchenettes and balconies. They are a bit outdated, but generally clean and comfortable.

Legends Apartments

Scene

A casual, relaxed hotel with a funky lobby and restaurant.

This laid-back, relaxing hotel is located on a small property off the town's main road. The front lobby is fun and funky, with a pool table, vintage posters, and bar mirrors. There's also a flat-screen TV and a computer for guests. The lobby seamlessly leads into the bar and restaurant area by the pool. The guest apartments are situated within several buildings, which surround the pool. There isn't much landscape, but there are a few areas of manicured grass and tons of lush palm trees spread around the pool and the apartments. The hotel is popular with families and quiet enough for couples.

Location

On a busy road, within a short walking distance of the main town and beach.

The hotel is located on a busy main road lined with other hotels and residences in the town of Sidari on Corfu's North Coast. It is just a nine-minute walk to downtown Sidari, which has tons of restaurants, bars, and cute shops. There are many beautiful beaches in Sidari -- the main one is Sidari beach, which is a five-minute walk from the hotel. The gorgeous Canal d'Amour, a huge attraction on the island, is only a three-minute drive. There's a bus service on the island that stops in Sidari and goes to many of the other resort towns, such as Roda, Acharavi, Kassiopi, and Corfu Town.

Rooms

Simple apartment-style rooms with kitchenette and balcony

All the rooms are apartment-style and sleep from two to four people. They are a bit small, but comfortable and are cleaned everyday. Decor differs between apartments; some are more modern than others. All have pastel-colored walls and simple wood furniture, outdated TVs, and small kitchenettes with basic appliances and table/chairs. Some rooms have cast iron headboards and furniture trimmings. The beds are two twin beds pushed together, and there are also bunk beds in the rooms that sleep four. A big plus is that all rooms have balconies with a table and chairs, overlooking the pool or the landscape. Bathrooms are small and definitely show their age -- tiled floors and walls are worn and appliances are basic but clean. Air-conditioning costs extra and there's no Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Features

Lagoon pool, bar and restaurant, entertainment nights

Despite lacking the long list of amenities offered by some of the larger nearby resorts, Legends Apartments has enough facilities to keep guests satisfied. Plus, guests can easily walk to the main town to enjoy all it has to offer. The large lagoon pool is a popular gathering spot, and is surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas. It is also right next to a smaller pool for children to enjoy. The Legends Bar and Restaurant is situated right at the front of the hotel and extends towards the pool. Guests can eat under the vine-covered ceiling in the outdoor seating area or enjoy a cocktail near the pool table. The hotel provides entertainment throughout the week, including BBQ night and Greek Night with authentic dancing.
