The property is situated on a man-made beach under cypress trees, but the water here is not as clear as at natural beaches elsewhere on the island. The Louis Corcyra is part of a hotel chain has locations all over Greece and is popular with British families and cruise passengers (there's a port nearby). The hotel offers both freestanding bungalows and apartments in two- or four-story buildings. All are spread out within grounds that are terraced over the bay. The grounds are well-landscaped, with a glut of flowers and spectacular views of the sea. The pathways that weave through the property are showing their age, but they are kept in fairly good repair.

A 15-minute drive from Corfu Town and a short walk to the village of Gouvia
Corfu Town is about a 15-minute drive away and can be reached via island buses, which stop close to the hotel. It's a 20-minute drive to Corfu Airport. The property is situated on a man-made beach within a small bay, about two-thirds of the way up the eastern coast of the island. Gouvia, a small fishing town that has been converted into a resort village, is a seven-minute walk away and offers a variety of dining options as well as sporting activities.

Clean furniture and decor that harkens to the 1980s
The stark, ceramic-tiled rooms here are plain and simply outfitted, but many guests find them comfortable enough, and the blue and white color scheme is befitting of the island location. Some rooms have been updated; others still feature decor and furnishings that seem not to have changed in the last couple of decades, down to the tiny tube-style TVs. Most rooms have a terrace with a table and chairs, as well as a shower/tub combo in a marble-lined bathroom. The rooms have size on their side, and are generally large enough to house families.

The pools are among the property's highlights and include a lagoon pool with lovely shaded areas supported by doric columns. The main rectangular pool is near the beach, where daytime and evening activities take place. Each pool has a separate children's pool; there's also a playground and mini-golf for the little ones, as well as pool, table tennis, and regular tennis for adults. The hotel sits next to a man-made beach, and though the water here is slightly less clear than in other areas, guests have reported it to be clean. The on-site restaurants get generally good reviews from guests, who have also noted that the menus cycle weekly and may feel repetitive to those staying longer periods. All-inclusive meal plans are available. Wi-Fi is available at the property, but it's not free.
