This sleek and secluded upscale hotel located in the mountains of Nissaki is situated on its own private beach. The fantastic view alone is enough to lure guests. However, there is plenty to stay busy with, including the giant outdoor pool, bars, restaurants, sports activities, and a kids' club. Guests can choose the all-inclusive option, which includes most on-site food and beverages, or just receive free breakfast. There are 239 rooms at the hotel and they come in a variety of styles that sleep up to four guests -- some have balconies with great views.
Scene
Modern decor with lots of outdoor areas and fantastic views of the scenery
Guests are greeted with a contemporary lobby, which has reflection pools, green-potted trees, leather couches, silver accent walls, modern lighting fixtures, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Most areas in the hotel take advantage of the gorgeous green mountains and stunning blue water -- for example, the large balcony off of the hotel bar has a sweeping panoramic view. Since it's on a mountain, the property is on a slant, but is made accessible with stone walkways and stairs. The grounds are beautifully manicured, with a large grassy area, brightly colored flowers, lush trees, and olive groves. The majority of guests are families, however the hotel maintains a relaxing atmosphere and draws couples as well.
Location
Situated in the mountains and next to a private beach
Nestled in the green mountains of Nissaki Village, the hotel is located in a quiet area with its own private beach. While a bit secluded, it's not far from many of the area's beautiful beaches and main attractions. It's about a half-hour drive to Mount Pantokrator and Acharavi Beach, and just 10 minutes to Barbati Beach. Corfu International Airport is about 40 minutes away.
Rooms
Spacious, well-lit rooms with balconies and outdated bathrooms
There are a variety of styles of rooms, including Suites, Family Rooms, Twin Rooms with extra beds, Single Rooms, and Twin Rooms. The rooms are all spacious, well-lit, and decorated in kind of drab neutral tones. The decor is simple, with light wood furniture, a small dresser, and a few paintings on the walls. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, a safe, air-conditioning, and a balcony. Watch out for two twin beds pushed together to make a double. There is a hair dryer, but it's located in the bedroom, and guests have to specially request a minibar. The bathrooms are simple; some are beginning to show some wear and tear. The walls and floors are tiled and there is a tub with a handheld shower. Some rooms have gorgeous views of the beach.
Features
Private beach, large pool, swanky bar, and kids club
Direct access to the gorgeous beach, with beautiful mountains in the background, is a definite plus for this hotel. There are many lounge chairs and umbrellas, which are generously spread out on the narrow beach. There's also a huge pool, a smaller children's pool, and a pool bar and restaurant -- which only serves lunch. The hotel bar has swanky decor with a lime green bar, plush leather couches, and outdoor seating on a large balcony with gorgeous views of the water and mountains. The more formal Aphrodite Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and dinner. Activities include: shuffleboard, bocce, beach volleyball, tennis, mini golf, ping-pong, and a kids' club. Water sport rentals are available on the beach.
