Many of the guests at Restia Suites visit every year, drawn by the hotel's no kids policy and relaxing atmosphere. The beach is located across a quiet street from the property, and though the sand is public, there's a wooden deck topped with comfy sun loungers and umbrellas only for guests. Think romantic walks on an empty beach. Music plays softly around the landscaped swimming pool. Expansive lawns, trimmed hedges, and lush flower beds are well-kept. Indoors, the sophisticated lobby includes plush gray and white club chairs with high backs and mirrors accented with gold frames. A wooden bookcase holds novels and guidebooks for guests to peruse.

For some, Restia Suites may be a bit too far off the beaten track, but for others, the out-of-the-way location is exactly what they're looking for. Most of the lots surrounding the hotel are vacant and the quiet beach is just across the street from a rarely used road. Expect a scenic 25-minute walk to the village of Acharavi, or take the shuttle provided by the hotel that runs three times a day. Corfu International Airport is almost an hour’s drive south.

There are 30 different suites at Restia, falling into three categories: VIP, Deluxe, and Superior. Each unit is spacious and decorated with soothing earth tones. Four-poster beds, hardwood floors, and clean lines give spaces a luxe feel. Jellyfish-inspired chandeliers hang from ceilings. Flat-screen TVs and coffeemakers are standard. Wi-Fi is free, but there aren't enough routers for each suite -- a little odd for such a luxurious hotel. Bathrooms are enormous and include whirlpool baths and a private water closet. A hairdryer is mounted to the wall and toiletries are provided on the trough-style sink. Book a VIP room for a small, private swimming pool. All of the suites have furnished terraces.

The features at Restia Suites are in keeping with the relaxation theme of the property. A freshly cooked breakfast is included with the price of a room, and lunch can be served by the pool. Pietra serves gourmet Greek and international dishes for dinner, and occasionally hosts fun events like evening barbecues. There's also an on-site market where guests can purchase toiletries and cold drinks. The spa gets high marks for beauty services and treatments, along with a sauna and steam room. Recreational facilities include an outdoor tennis court and gym with cardio equipment and weights in a brightly lit room.
