Bottom Line

There’s no pool at Evelyn Beach Hotel, a dated, budget property steps from the beach, where fees are imposed for everything from towels to safety deposit boxes. Half-board and full-board meal options are available, and the hotel prepares a lot of Greek salads for the buffet, with terrace dining overlooking the beach. The 76 rooms are kept clean but have an outdated feel. Still, guests recommend getting a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Visitors looking for a lively location may want to check out Pela Maria, a value hotel on the area’s main street with an outdoor pool.

Evelyn Beach Hotel

Scene

Spacious lobby as well as an open-air bar and dining overlooking the beach

There aren’t a lot of common areas at Evelyn Beach Hotel, but the spacious lobby combines several functional spaces, including the front desk, seating areas, a billiards table, and a small bar. The black marble front desk and floor-length white curtains gives the space a dated, ‘80s feel. At the on-site restaurant, Greek salads are lined up on the buffet table, and the dining area extends out onto a terrace overlooking the beach. The open-air bar is decorated in shades of blue complementing its seaside location. Just across the street, the sandy beach area stretches in front of a line of hotels and can get crowded with lounge chairs.

Guests recommend staying in a unit that faces the ocean as large, furnished balconies overlooking the beach are available. All rooms have mini-fridges and central air-conditioning, and Wi-Fi and safety deposit boxes are available for a fee. Bathrooms are small and no-frills with white walls, sinks, and showers.
