Anemi Hotel & Suites

Anemi Hotel Apartments is an upper-middle-range apartment hotel that's housed in a four-story cream-hued structure flanked by a mix of pine trees and tropical shrubbery. Inside, the lobby is bright and contemporary, but cool, with polished off-white marble floors and recessed lighting. Lots of windows look out to the restaurant and the pool just beyond. Hallways have dark blacklight accent light fixtures that add an air of ultra-modern sleekness to the place. The overall ambience is quiet and the hotel attracts a mix of guests, including business and leisure travelers, couples, and families. Most guests who stay here go for self-catering rates, though full- and half-board and breakfast-only packages are available. Discounts are also available for long-term stays.

This hotel is located off a quiet side street with an apartment block on one side and a couple of restaurants serving Indian and Japanese food on the other. It's a seven-minute walk to the Municipal Baths, the closest area for swimming and sunbathing and just a couple of blocks away from the main tourist strip in Paphos. It's about a 10-minute drive north to the UNESCO World Heritage listed Tomb of the Kings, and six minutes by car or 25 minutes on foot to Paphos Archaeological Park, home to ancient attractions such as the Paphos Mosaics. The Adonis Baths waterfalls are a 40-minute drive from the hotel. It takes about 90 minutes to reach Mount Olympos. Nicosia is also a two-hour drive away. Paphos International Airport is just under 20 minutes from the hotel. The larger Larnaca International Airport takes about 90 minutes to reach.

Anemi has a total of 90 apartments, 65 of which are one-bedroom apartments (the rest are studios). All come in either Superior or Deluxe categories. Both categories have a similar configuration, with full kitchens, complete with sleek chrome appliances -- including large microwaves and ovens -- plus stove burners, small fridges, and basic cookware. All units have two twin beds or a double bed, plus a second sofa bed (in one-bedroom units) along with furnished balconies. Superior units feature a light decor scheme with polished off-white tile floors, predominantly light-wood furniture in living rooms and a mix of light and medium wood furniture in bedrooms, and smallish flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms have shower/tub combos and are on the small side. Deluxe units are sleeker, with smart TVs and light-wood parquet floors, a blue-and-gray decor concept inspired by the wind, and large fish or butterfly decals on the walls. The bathrooms in these rooms feature walk-in showers with large rainfall showerheads. 

This hotel offers a great selection of facilities, particularly for an apartment hotel. There's a restaurant, Turquoise, overlooking the pool that offers buffet service at breakfast and dinner, with a special Cypriot breakfast scheme that highlights local products. Lunch is available a la carte, and the hotel provides a great menu with all sorts of international grills and salads. Dinnertime themed nights with live music and dancing are held twice a week. There's also a bar in the lobby for coffees and simple drinks. Poolside food and drink service is available.  

Just beyond the restaurant is a large swimming pool with lots of lounge chairs along with a smaller kids' pool off to one side. There's also a tiny playground in a shaded area with artificial grass and a few toddler-sized play structures, plus a game room with billiards, table tennis, air hockey, and a few arcade games. There's no spa, but there is a fitness center with cardio and weight-training equipment. Other features include a coin-operated laundry room and a  business center with lots of sofas and a few internet terminals. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel. There's an outdoor lot with plenty of free parking for guests.
