Grecian Park Hotel

The chic Grecian Park is a large luxury hotel above Konnos Bay. The marble-floor lobby employs a simple, modern design, with couches upholstered in black leather, white cotton, and blue velvet. Sun pours in through the enormous windows, and a multitiered chandelier hangs overhead. The centerpiece of the space is a grand piano set in the center of the room.

The hotel is built among the greenery next to Cape Greco National Park and high above the beach, so the building has one-of-a-kind views and feels remote, though it’s only a few minutes' drive to the resort towns. Generally, the vibe is quiet, and guests have plenty of space to relax between the large outdoor pool, the fully equipped spa, and the numerous restaurants and bars.

The beach, in a nook of the bay, is small but beautiful, with sparkling blue water and rocky coves. It’s definitely worth the trek down numerous safe steps (about a five minute walk, and there's a railing), but it’s a steep climb back up. This might be a deterrent for travelers with small children or those with limited mobility.

The Grecian Park Hotel is conveniently, and beautifully, located overlooking Konnos Bay. High on a cliff and next to the Cape Greco National Park, the hotel feels natural and secluded, but, in fact, it is just a five-minute drive to Protaras and about a ten-minute drive to Ayia Napa. The airport is about 45 minutes away. Parking at the hotel is free and there's a free shuttle to Ayia Napa.

There are 239 guest rooms and suites at the Grecian Park Hotel. Standard Rooms are on the small side and more subdued than the elegant common spaces. Each comes with a balcony (some have gorgeous views of the Mediterranean), flat-screen TV, minibar, and coffeemaker. Wi-Fi is free of charge, too. Decor is generally white. Beds are dressed up with beige throws and gray pillows. Many rooms have a gold-framed painting on the ceiling above the bed, which can seem chic or odd, depending on your style. Bathrooms may feel a little cramped, with the toilet wedged under the sink countertop, but are clean and come stocked with ample bath products. Glass encased showers are the norm, though some rooms have small bathtubs. Upgrade to the Presidential Suite for a whirlpool tub and separate living room area.

Features at The Grecian Park Hotel are designed for luxurious relaxation and convenience. It has a full-service spa and wellness center that includes massage rooms, a sauna, and a hair salon. The indoor spa pool and whirlpool offer a calm oasis. Olympus Health Club has an extensive gym with cardio machines (each with an individual TV), weight machines, and free weights -- though some of the equipment looks rusted. The hotel also has two outdoor tennis courts and an outdoor pool which is gigantic, with a large patio of sun chairs surrounding it. The beach offers more sun loungers and fun water sports rentals. A gift shop off the lobby sells beach gear and souvenirs.

The hotel’s dining options are varied and delicious. Cafe Charisma, where the hotel serves a free breakfast, offers an extensive selection including sparkling wine. Antaeus provides an upscale dinner option. Umi Japanese restaurant and bar celebrates the cliff-side view, as does the Cliff Bar, which feels almost like a tree house above the sea. There’s also Ravioli, an Italian eatery, Breezes poolside bar, and Xasteria, the hotel’s main cocktail bar. Room service is available 24-hours a day.

It's hard to imagine getting much work done at Grecian Park Hotel but there's ample meeting space and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
