Bottom Line

For travelers catching an early flight, it’s hard to beat the location of this Grand Hyatt, which is right inside Terminal D of the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This upscale hotel is especially convenient for those flying American, as check-in and security are just outside the lobby. It’s not as close to the other terminals, and travelers still have to budget time for the shuttle, but overall it’s a pretty impressive property. Many of the nearly 300 guest rooms overlook the runway but are still quiet. There’s an upscale restaurant, a separate sushi bar, a cafe, and a spa.

Oyster Hotel Review

Grand Hyatt DFW

Scene

High-end corporate-style hotel

The overall vibe of this property is upscale and corporate, with wooden paneling, blown-up artsy photographs, and towering flower arrangements in the sleek-looking lobby. The Grand Met restaurant is a swanky gathering space, with black walls and furnishings punctuated by bright yellow chairs. The lounge is an expansive spot with a similar black color scheme. Moka, with its white marble topped coffee bar, is sophisticated. The spa is simple and soothing, a nice setting for unwinding after a long flight.
