A bit far from tourist attractions in Downtown Dallas
This elegant, 191-room hotel is housed in a beautiful historic building in hopping Uptown, close to art galleries and great nightlife. It has a lovely outdoor pool, a huge, impressive fitness center, and an acclaimed 22,000-square-foot day spa. Big rooms come with high-tech amenities, but the slightly bland decor is unimpressive (especially for a hotel of this caliber), and there’s a fee for Internet access. The famous Japanese restaurant Nobu is located in the lobby, and the members-only Crescent Club offers stunning views.
On the southern edge of lively, expensive Uptown, within walking distance of shops and art galleries
The Hotel Crescent Court stands on a short street amid restaurants and cafes, and within walking distance to some of Downtown’s top tourist attractions, like the Dallas Museum of Art. It is also one block from the great art galleries on McKinney Avenue, and close to upscale eateries and boutiques.
Uptown Dallas is a hot spot of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Creating the border on the south side, Victory Park is home to the American Airlines Center, a huge sports and entertainment complex where the Dallas Mavericks and the Dallas Stars play. To the north, McKinney Avenue is lined with art galleries, and Knox-Henderson is packed with upscale restaurants. West Village offers amazing shopping and has some of the best nightlife in Dallas. Nearby Turtle Creek is known as the artsy, gay-friendly area where the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Kalita Humphreys Theater sits.
