Comfort Inn Rehoboth Beach

Care has been taken to make parts of this property look like a slightly elevated version of the budget Comfort Inn chain brand. The polished porte cochere out front can make guests feel like they’re checking into a higher-grade hotel. The bright and polished lobby, featuring carpets and chairs upholstered in contemporary patterns, also makes a pleasant first impression (though drop ceilings could use renovating). Hallways and common areas (of which there aren’t too many) are on the generic side in terms of decor, but still clean. Unsurprisingly, most guests don’t spend too much time on-site during the day, but families and couples appreciate the hotel for offering an affordable option that’s also well-maintained, fairly quiet, and convenient.

The hotel is situated just off the Coastal Highway, but traffic noise is rarely an issue. The Rehoboth Mall (with a Walmart) is 10 minutes away on foot, and although there’s little else within walking distance, tourists find the location convenient for its short driving distance -- about 12 minutes -- to Dewey Beach, plus Rehoboth Beach and its boardwalk. Jungle Jim’s water park is a six-minute drive away. Delaware Seashore State Park is 20 minutes away by car. Wicomico County Airport is an hour away by car. Philadelphia International Airport is a two-hour drive away.

Rooms aren't particularly well-decorated, but they’re spacious, and come with clean carpeting, fairly modern cabinets and bedside tables, and the occasional colorful wall print. Rooms are available with single queen or king beds, or two queen beds. It’s useful to note that smoking rooms are also available, so guests should note their preferences in advance. Deluxe Queen Rooms and King Suites are exceptionally large, with separate seating areas and small dining tables. Suites add small kitchen sinks. Accessible King Rooms are available. 

In-room amenities are particularly impressive for a budget hotel; all rooms have air-conditioning, desks, safes, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Tea-and coffee-making facilities, plus microwaves and mini-fridges, are provided, along with ironing equipment.

Bathrooms could be bigger, but they come with clean granite counters, shower/tub combos with fixed showerheads, toiletries, and hairdryers. 

Views of the parking lot, gas station, or nearby grocery stores from the windows are less than appealing.

Features here are simple, but convenient. There’s no full restaurant, but a breakfast room provides a free morning meal. The plentiful spread includes cereals, waffles, fruits, Greek yogurt, muesli, and hot foods like eggs, sausages, and hash browns. Guests especially appreciate that different items are featured each day for some variation in the selection.

The hotel’s outdoor gated pool is on the small side, and the area could be spruced up with better lounge chairs and tables, but it’s a welcome perk regardless, and towels are provided. There's a small gym, which also has free towels, but the cardio machine selection is limited.

Other amenities include a coin-operated laundry room with one washing machine and one dryer. A two-computer business center is available. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. Parking in the outdoor lot is also free.
