Les Rotes Hotel

Situated in a cheery tangerine-hued building with white trim and green window shutters, this boutique hotel is flanked by palm trees and pretty flowering bushes. Interiors are bright and airy in a plush and polished way, occasionally echoing the orange shade of the exterior for a sunny and inviting effect. The sunlit lobby is furnished with comfortable sofas and chic armchairs in front of large arched windows overlooking the pool. The restaurant, clad in crisp white tablecloths, is encased in windows, and there's seating spilling out onto a lovely terrace. The property has lovely, well-maintained grounds full of greenery, pretty gardens, and soothing water features. For relaxing, there's plush seating under a thatched-roof cabana or around the attractive pool. Guests here are composed of tourists (mostly couples), many from Europe and Spain specifically. 

The hotel is situated in a tranquil residential area in Denia, a port city on Spain's eastern coast. There's not much in the immediate area of the hotel, but there are a handful of restaurants within walking distance. It's a peaceful location that's just a five-minute walk to the sea and a rocky stretch of beach, plus there's a lovely promenade that runs along the water. The town center, where guests can find plenty of dining options, shops, and attractions like the castle, the Ethnological Museum, and a toy museum, is about a 10-minute drive away. The train station is about an eight-minute drive from the hotel, while the nearest airport is in Alicante, about an hour and 20 minutes away.

Rooms are bright, airy, and spacious, with tasteful and classy contemporary decor that pairs attractive wooden furniture with a soft color palette. Beds are topped with white linens. Floral paintings on the walls and patterned curtains are a nice touch. All units have desks and armchairs for seating, while suites add sofas. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, air-conditioning, safes, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no tea/coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms are large, clean, and bright -- covered in tiling and equipped with shower/tub combos in addition to toilets, bidets, and hairdryers. Suite bathrooms add even more space, as well as walk-in showers and separate whirlpool tubs. Toiletries are supplied, as are robes and slippers. Some rooms open onto lovely terraces furnished with sunbeds, tables, and chairs. Note that two twin beds are often pushed together to make a double bed. 

The highlight here in terms of features is the attractive outdoor pool that's bordered by a wooden sundeck lined with seating, including loungers and chic daybeds. The pool is fairly large and suitable for lap swimming. Dining-wise, the restaurant serves Mediterranean fare in an elegant and inviting setting, plus it also offers alfresco dining on a terrace or by the pool; there's also a lobby bar. A buffet breakfast is served in the mornings in the breakfast room, but incurs an extra charge. Half- and full-board rates are available.

The hotel has several common spaces that guests can relax in, including a cozy reading room with a fireplace and book exchange, as well as several charming outdoor spaces in which to lounge or sunbathe. Wellness features include a small fitness room with just three cardio machines and weights. It does include a sauna and a hot tub. There's meeting and event space, free on-site parking, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
