Bottom Line

The three-pearl Best Western Plus Denver International Airport Inn & Suites offers some of the best rates available among the cluster of hotels that are closest to the airport. Features are a highlight, with a free 24-hour airport shuttle, laundry facilities, indoor pool, fitness center, convenience store, and business center that also are open around the clock. There's also a free hot breakfast, and to-go bags are available for travelers with early flights. Parking also is free, but it can fill up at times. While spacious and equipped with microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi, the hotel's 101 guest rooms aren't as impressive, with dated decor throughout and small bathrooms. Compare rates with the Ramada Denver International Airport, an all-suites property with free breakfast and shuttle.

Oyster Hotel Review

Best Western Plus Denver International Airport Inn & Suites

Scene

An airport hotel with a bright and cheerful lobby

This airport hotel is a relatively quiet property, set back off the road and with an open field behind it, but guests come and go at all hours. The modest lobby is decorated in bright and cheerful colors, highlighted by white tile floors, neon green upholstered furniture, and bright orange accents on the walls and carpeting. There's a comfortable seating area and breakfast room adjacent to the entrance and front desk, though in the morning it can be a little loud, with the TV blaring combined with the buzz of morning diners. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant and peaceful place to relax for the mix of business and leisure travelers who stay here.

Location

Near the airport in a quiet setting among a cluster of other hotels

The hotel is set back a bit from Tower Road among the cluster of hotels nearest to Denver International Airport, about a 10-minute drive or hotel shuttle ride away. A few restaurants are within a five-minute walk, and there’s also a gas station and liquor store in the immediate area. Downtown Denver is roughly a 30- to 45-minute drive, depending on traffic. A light rail station that runs to downtown is only a few minutes’ drive away as well.

Rooms

Spacious and nicely equipped with microwaves and mini-fridges, but decor is dated

The matching wood furniture with a vibrant amber finish puts a warm glow on these spacious rooms, though the overall look leans toward dated. Olive green is used as an accent color for walls behind beds, drapes, and in the otherwise dark-brown carpeting, and the sofas (Kings) and armchairs (Double Queens) have the same basic hue. Contemporary art adds a splash of more vibrant colors. Larger suites offer sleeper sofas, and some feature en-site whirlpool tubs. The rooms are generally quiet and clean, and standard amenities are a plus, with flat-screen TVs, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, desks, and free Wi-Fi. Roomy, light-brown ceramic vanities are placed outside the bathrooms, which are small and also dated, and contain shower/tub combos, hairdryers, and toiletries. Views are typically of the open field behind the property, and of the surrounding parking lots.
