Bottom Line

The 210-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Stapleton is an upper-middle-range property that was completely renovated and rebranded under the Hilton name in 2015. Rooms -- all of which are actually two-room suites -- are spacious and clean with big flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Additional freebies include made-to-order breakfast, an evening happy hour, shuttle to the airport, and on-site parking. This property also has an indoor pool with hot tub and sauna. A notable downside is the hotel’s location in a commercial area near a highway and far from downtown Denver. Travelers can also consider the nearby Holiday Inn Denver East – Stapleton, which offers better rates but without breakfast included; or for a hotel closer to the city center, Ramada Denver Downtown offers similar amenities at slightly better rates.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Stapleton

Scene

Fresh hotel with bright and spacious interiors

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Stapleton occupies a boxy building with a large parking lot in an uninspiring commercial area located near a national highway. Once through the sliding entry doors, the interiors hold a few surprises. The spacious reception area has impressive arched ceilings made of red brick, supported by wide columns covered in wood paneling. Beyond this is the seven-story inner atrium with a large, bright courtyard painted in tones of pastel pink and blue, and tables and chairs in matching tones. Balconies on the upper floors where the rooms are located overlook the courtyard from above. The hotel is primarily geared toward business travelers, and its Executive Suite rooms even feature boardroom tables. But thanks to its indoor pool, the hotel is equally popular with families.

Rooms

Spacious two-room suites with kitchenettes

All of the rooms at Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Stapleton are spacious two-room suites, made up of a bedroom and a separate living area, which includes a sofa bed, kitchenette, and a table that can be used for dining or for meetings. Rooms are decorated in a pleasing color palette of grays and soft blues, with simple classic-contemporary style furniture, and contemporary-style lamps that add an elegant touch. Each room has a flat-screen TV (two per suite), and the kitchenettes include coffeemakers, microwaves, and large fridges. In contrast to the spacious rooms, the bathrooms are small, with shower/tub combos; with the exception of the much roomier bathrooms located in the Accessible Rooms, which come with showers or bathtubs. The Executive Suite has a boardroom table that can seat up to eight people. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Note that some guests complain of the noise that resonates from the courtyard level of the atrium up to the rooms.
