Bottom Line

The mid-range Hyatt House Denver Airport debuted in 2010 and remains a modern and fresh option. It's in a quiet spot that's removed from other airport hotels, and dining options are somewhat limited. The property's 123 apartment-style suites are spacious and feature fully equipped kitchens and sleeper sofas, and most also have large walk-in showers. Flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi are standard. Highlights include a free hot breakfast with an omelet station, weekday evening reception with free food and drinks, 24-hour well-equipped fitness center, indoor pool and whirlpool, 24-hour business center, and free on-site parking. It’s an attractive package for any travelers passing through the airport, but those who want a full-service restaurant and bar can check out the nearby Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Denver Airport.

HYATT House Denver Airport

Scene

A modern airport hotel with a cheerful lobby and large outdoor courtyard

This modern hotel opened in 2010 as a Hyatt Summerfield Suites, but became a Hyatt House when the brand was created in 2012. It stays busy year-round with a steady stream of travelers. The cheerful lobby has lots of natural light, wood paneling, and contemporary furniture in light colors, and there's also a large courtyard with gas grills and a fire pit that's a popular gathering spot in warm weather. Weekday evening receptions, when free food and drinks are served in the lobby and breakfast area, offers guests another opportunity to mingle.

Location

In a quiet setting near the airport, but somewhat isolated from dining and other hotels

The Hyatt House is located just off Tower Road, about a seven-minute drive or shuttle ride away from Denver International Airport. It’s a quiet setting that’s a bit isolated from the other hotels, restaurants, and gas stations in the immediate area, and there's an open field behind it. But a handful of restaurants are within a five-minute walk, and a few more are just a little farther on foot or a very short drive. There also is a convenience store and liquor store nearby. Downtown Denver is roughly a 30- to 45-minute drive, depending on traffic.

All suites feature desks with office chairs, sleeper sofas in separate living areas, and fully equipped kitchens with granite counters and stainless steel appliances including dishwashers, full fridges, stoves, and microwaves. The kitchens also have either small dining tables or bars with stools. Flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi come standard. Bathrooms have with large granite vanities; most have roomy walk-in showers with glass doors and others have shower/tub combos, and some Two-Bedroom Suites have two bathrooms.
