Large apartment-style hotel set outside the tourist center, especially popular with families.

Like many of the apartment-style hotels in Dubai, this one caters to business travelers and families. However, it has a rather isolated location near Dubai Sports City, so travelers wanting to explore main tourist sights will need to take a taxi or one of the free shuttles provided. Opened in late-2014, Ghaya Grand Hotel is a modern property with a 21-floor mirrored exterior, and lots of shining marble, simple wood furniture, and pops of color inside. All the expected features of an upscale hotel are present here, including multiple dining options, a full-service spa and gym, and an outdoor pool. However, as with many hotels in Dubai, alcohol is not served on-site, though there's an outdoor terrace for hookah. It's also worth noting that the outdoor pool is surrounded by buildings, which limits the amount of sunshine there. Affordable rates and apartments with fully equipped kitchens make this is a good value, despite the out-of-center location.
