Ivory Grand Hotel Apartments

The Ivory Grand is a 14-story high-rise apartment-style hotel that’s main draw is its close proximity to the Mall of the Emirates. The hotel draws a range of travelers, though primarily families that need to extra space and self-catering facilities. The design throughout is modern and stylish, with striking elements that are representative of Dubai as a whole. The neutral-tone lobby features a huge, stunning chandelier, streamlined furniture, and lots of curlicue and swirl details. More dark-brown and beige furnishings can be found in the elegant restaurant, Elements. Nothing is particularly unique about the hotel or its decor, but it's a well-maintained and attractive property.

Many guests choose the Ivory Grand for its convenient location a roughly five-minute walk to the huge Mall of the Emirates. The mall is home to ample dining options, plus a cinema, retail shops, a metro stop, and Ski Dubai, an indoor ski resort. There are also several grocery stores and restaurants in its vicinity. The hotel has a free shuttle that goes to the Mall of the Emirates, as well as Oasis centre, Dubai Mall, City Centre and Jumeirah Beach Park. Most shuttle rides are 10 to 20 minutes. Taxis are right outside the hotel and access to the main highway, which can conveniently transport guests to most areas, is nearby. The tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, and the Dubai Mall are about an 18-minute drive away. The Dubai International Airport is a 25-minute ride, and the hotel can arrange transport for a fee. Ample and free parking is available in an underground garage.   

The 215 modern and spacious rooms at Ivory Grand range from Studios to Three-Bedroom apartments. They're all tastefully decorated with contemporary furnishings in mostly neutral tones, including beige-tile floors and walls, dark-wood furniture, and pops of subdued color in linens and artwork. Kitchens have full-size appliances, washing machines, microwaves, toasters, and kettles, as well as dishes, cooking necessities, and cutlery. Living areas are outfitted with sofas, dining tables, and flat-screen TVs, while bedrooms have additional TVs, ironing facilities, and safes. Rooms have windows or sliding glass doors that lead to unfurnished balconies. Crisp bathrooms have shower/tub combos, shaving mirrors, toiletries, and hairdryers.   

The hotel's stand-out feature is a heated rooftop swimming pool, long enough to complete laps and supervised by a lifeguard. A sun terrace has lounge chairs for sunbathing and umbrellas for shade. One night a week, the hotel has a barbecue on the roof. A spacious and well-equipped gym has treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and free weights. There are a sauna and steam room, plus additional services are offered at the on-site spa and salon. Wi-Fi is free throughout. The hotel restaurant, Elements, serves a well-reviewed breakfast buffet and a la carte lunch and dinner. Room service and a take-away cafe stand with snacks, ice cream, and beverages are also available.
