Residence & Spa at One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai

Residence & Spa at One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai is a boutique chain hotel with 49 rooms and personalized service that sits within a larger resort with two other hotels. Residence & Spa has a beachfront location in between The Palace Hotel and Arabian Court Hotel, which makes it ideal for guests to visit the other properties and use their facilities. The grounds here are stunning and filled with green lawns, palm trees, bushes, colorful flowers, and ponds. The pool is at the center of it all, surrounded by palm trees and loungers with umbrellas. Inside, the decor is ornate and sexy with glossy floors with intricate designs, soft lighting from iron chandeliers and wall lamps, posh armchairs and couches, and elegant touches in the artwork, cut-out stair railings, and columns. Among the three hotels, Residence & Spa is the most relaxing, even though it’s no longer an adult-only property. Most guests are still primarily couples on romantic vacations. 

This hotel stands on a private beach across from The Palm Jumeirah. Guests can actually visit The Palm Jumeirah, by taking advantage of a private boat transfer from the beach to the sister hotel, One&Only The Palm, located on the island layout. Surrounding the hotel are businesses and hotels, as well as some dining options and bars that can be reached within a 10-minute walk. The closest golf course is about a 10-minute drive away, as is the Mall of the Emirates. It takes 10 minutes by car to reach the Wild Wadi Waterpark. Burj Khalifa is a 25-minute drive away. Dubai International Airport takes 45 minutes to reach by car. 

A luxe, contemporary style is found in the 49 rooms and suites. They feature elegant dark wooden furniture, tile or printed carpet, colorful floral bedspreads, sitting areas with chic white or gray seating, carved archways, and mosaics. All units are extremely spacious and feature lavish balconies or patios. Other amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, espresso makers, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, safes, and butler service. Suites have DVD players and iPod docking stations. Bathrooms are similarly memorable, with ornate decorative elements, bidets, separate tubs and waterfall showers, Molton Brown toiletries, and hairdryers. 

For those who want more privacy, Residence & Spa also has a private Beach Garden Villa just 40 steps from the private beach. It has its own pool and a kitchenette, plus other perks like in-villa a la carte breakfast, preferred seating at resort restaurants, and a club car to maneuver around the grounds. 

Residence & Spa at One&Only Royal Mirage Dubai combines the perks of a quiet boutique hotel with the option to use features at its busier sister properties. It sits on a stretch of private beach where guests can soak up rays on loungers or enjoy water sports. The private beach is shared by two other hotels in the same resort, and Residence & Spa guests have access to their three pools, seven restaurants, bars, meeting and event spaces, tennis courts, and children’s playgrounds. As for on-site amenities, there’s one beautiful pool that only Residence & Spa guests have access to. Free fruit and ice cream are provided at the pool daily. The spa has a traditional Oriental hammam, hot tub, massages, beauty treatments, and a hair salon. There’s also a gym with Technogym equipment and fitness trainers on hand. 

As for dining, there’s only one restaurant on-site, The Dining Room, which offers local and international cuisine for lunch and dinner. A free made-to-order breakfast is available in the mornings. Free afternoon tea with pastries is offered in the afternoons in the Library Lounge, the hotel’s bar. Other on-site perks include a kids’ club and free Wi-Fi throughout.
