Bottom Line

The Country Club Hotel is a four-pearl property with super low rates near Dubai's waterfront, but it's not close to many tourist attractions or a metro station. While all 102 rooms here are spacious, the suites are particularly impressive and feature separate living areas and whirlpool tubs in the bathrooms. Amenities include four restaurants (three of which double as nightclubs), a bar, and a 24-hour cafe. For recreational facilities, there's a small outdoor pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a spa with a sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool. Wi-Fi and on-site parking are free, but breakfast costs extra. This is not a quiet place to stay -- many guests complain of noise from the many nightclubs. Travelers looking for a more conveniently located hotel may want to consider Hilton Dubai The Walk instead.

The Country Club Hotel

Scene

 Dated-looking hotel with wood panels

The Country Club Hotel is located next to a large parking lot and set in a four-story low-rise building that doesn't impress. Interiors have a dated look, with lots of wood paneling on the walls and on the reception counter in the dark lobby. A few sofas and armchairs upholstered in navy blue and gray provide seating. This is a popular hotel that attracts business as well as leisure travelers, including families, but it can get noisy due to the multiple on-site party venues.

Rooms

Spacious and generic rooms; most of which were renovated in 2016

Rooms and suites are spacious and classically decorated with patterned carpets, tasteful mahogany furniture, large windows, and several desk lamps that provide soft mood lighting. Some rooms feature terraces. Executive Rooms add sofa beds, while Suites have separate seating areas. Most bathrooms include shower/tub combos, granite sink tops, large mirrors, magnifying mirrors, and hairdryers. Suite bathrooms add whirlpool tubs and separate rainfall showers, plus a few extras like bathrobes. Amenities include 32-inch flat-screen TVs, minibars, and kettles.

Note that past guests have complained about noise from the on-site nightclubs, which stay open until early morning. The noise is particularly audible on the second and third floors of the hotel.
