Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is a massive beachfront property surrounded by lush palm-fringed gardens overlooking the interior of Palm Jumeirah. The hotel's lobby is a large area with marble floors and an elegant lounge area at the far end overlooking the beach. The elegant theme flows throughout the common areas, with white walls and pillars, crystal chandeliers, potted ferns, plush furniture, and soft, neutral hues. There's also a large outdoor terrace opening up from the lobby that overlooks the beach. The main building curves around the central outdoor space, which features lush green lawns, palm trees, and a massive swimming pool surrounded by cabanas, sun loungers, and parasols. This area then opens out onto a private beach section with more rows of sun loungers and parasols reserved exclusively for hotel guests. The poolside restaurant offers a relaxing escape from the crowds while still enjoying the views. Overall, the hotel has a relaxed holiday resort atmosphere. Guests here are mostly leisure travelers with a combination of families, couples, and groups.

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah is located on the east crescent of the Palm Jumeirah -- one of Dubai's popular palm-shaped artificial archipelagos stretching out into the Arabian Gulf. Its position halfway down the palm's eastern crescent means that the main entrance overlooks the sea and downtown Dubai,  and the front of the hotel faces the interior of Palm Jumeirah. While its far away location feels secluded and is quiet, it also makes it a bit of a hassle to get to and from the Dubai mainland -- particularly during traffic. The popular Atlantis Palm, with its Aquaventure Waterpark, is a four-minute drive from the hotel. It's a 20-minute drive to Dubai Marina and a 25-minute drive to Dubai Marina Mall. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Dubai Marina Mall every morning and afternoon. The Palm Atlantis Monorail Station, which runs along the trunk of Palm Jumeirah, is a six-minute drive away. It's a 20-minute drive to the Dubai Internet City Metro Station. Dubai International Airport is 40 minutes by car.

The 319 guest rooms at Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah feature soft hues of ivory, sand, and turquoise for a coastal contemporary look. Interiors have a regal beach vibe with wooden floors, plush carpets, white walls, beige sofas and armchairs, floral curtains, and wooden furniture. Suites feature separate office, lounge, dining, and bar/kitchenette areas with additional guest bathrooms. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, coffeemakers, telephones, work desks, safes, irons and ironing boards, and free Wi-Fi. The white marble bathrooms provide walk-in showers and separate tubs. They also have double vanities, hairdryers, magnifying mirrors, bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries. All of the rooms offer a large furnished balcony with stunning sea views of the Palm Jumeirah or the Dubai skyline. 

Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah has all of the facilities one would expect from a resort in the luxury category. There are six restaurants and lounges, including a fine-dining Italian restaurant, Social, by a three-star Michelin chef, Heinz Beck. Mezzerie is the hotel's main all-day restaurant, serving an extensive international buffet breakfast (not included in all rates). LAO is the modern Vietnamese restaurant and Palm Avenue is the poolside restaurant for light meals. Peacock Avenue serves a delicious afternoon high tea. Serafina Bar has a signature cocktail menu with live entertainment in the evenings. Club guests get access to the Waldorf Astoria Club Lounge, which includes free buffet breakfast and snacks and drinks throughout the day.

Two temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pools are available (including one adult-only pool), both overlooking the beach and surrounded by several sun loungers, cabanas, and parasols. The 200-meters of private beach in front of the hotel is lined with sun loungers, parasols, and private cocoons. Various water sport activities, like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, tubing, wake-boarding, and fishing trips, take place from the beach/jetty in front of the hotel. 

Modern Technogym cardio and weight-training machines and group classes are available at the fitness center. The Waldorf Astoria Spa features 12 treatment rooms (plus two couples rooms) and facilities like hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, ice fountains, thermal and water flotation lounges, experience showers, and Arabic Attar Perfumery. Eight meeting and event facilities are available, along with a 24-hour business center with printing facilities. Kid-friendly features include a shallow kids' pool and Coco Kids' Club. Wi-Fi throughout, valet parking, and shuttle to nearby attractions are free. Additional features include tennis courts, salon, boutique shops, souvenir shop, and concierge staff.
