Some rooms feel a little cramped
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Dublin-Northwood is a relatively upscale, 204-room chain hotel near the airport that pretty much delivers on expectations. Interior design is pretty swish, and rooms are clean and contemporary, and not short on amenities, though some can feel a little cramped. Practical amenities include extensive parking and an airport shuttle, and good on-site dining means guests don't have to leave the hotel. All in all, it's a solid choice for its location, although the nearby Bewleys Hotel Dublin Airport hotel has lower rates.
Scene
Modern redbrick build with swish lobby and impressive aquarium
Approaching the Crowne Plaza Hotel Dublin-Northwood, guests are not likely to be wowed by this modern redbrick structure, despite its setting on the edge of 85 acres of mature parkland. The lobby, however, is sleek and contemporary, decked out in black and white stone, mirrored paneling, and chrome light fittings. The smart surroundings are softened by the presence of a huge and colorful fish tank, behind which a mixture of business and leisure guests and local residents relax on charcoal-toned furniture dotted with colorful cushions. Mood is hushed and professional. Hallways are bright and modern, with art prints and the occasional touch of jazzy decor.
