Trinity Townhouse Hotel

Trinity Lodge is made up of three attractive four-story Georgian houses with red brick facades, brightly painted front doors, sash windows, and cast-iron railings. The lobby is a modest space that's simply furnished with a reception counter, desk, a few armchairs, and tables displaying tourist brochures. The hotel is popular with leisure travelers looking for a place to stay in central Dublin, and a few business travelers also choose to stay here. This is a family-run guest house, and travelers should note that the reception is closed at night, and that there are no elevators in either of the three buildings, which may present a challenge for those with mobility issues. Also, there are two big construction projects in progress a few doors away which will contribute significant noise throughout the day until completion in 2017.

Guest rooms at Trinity Lodge are available as Singles, Doubles, Twins, Triples, and Quads. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough, done up in a simple style with few embellishments. Wall-to-wall carpeting in dark red covers the floors, while walls are painted a pale yellow or bright blue. There are signs of wear and tear in some rooms, like scuffed furniture, and some of the older rooms may have a more dated look. Most of the guest rooms are air-conditioned, and all are equipped with TVs (though some are old tube-style sets), electric kettles, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have a few handy extras like irons/ironing boards and trouser presses, which can also be requested. Bathrooms are fitted with shower stalls that may be a tight squeeze for some. They're stocked with hairdryers and free toiletries. 

This mid-range property offers limited features that include a free breakfast prepared with only organic products. It's served every day in the guest house dining room and features a selection of options: a buffet breakfast of organic fruit, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, breads, and pastries, or a hot cooked Irish breakfast of sausages, bacon, black and white pudding, baked beans, home fries, and scrambled or poached eggs. A vegetarian Irish breakfast is also available, as well as smoked salmon eggs benedict or homemade porridge. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the property.
