La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Flagstaff

Like many hotels in Flagstaff, this property stays busy with overnight travelers visiting the Grand Canyon. With lots of area hotels not allowing pets, this pet-friendly property also attracts travelers with furry friends who appreciate that their pets can stay without a surcharge. The handsome, two-story lobby features a bank of floor-to-ceiling windows that cascades light into the space, where clusters of small tables and chairs as well as contemporary armchairs provide seating. Contemporary art and accent pieces adorn the walls and are displayed on shelves surrounding a fireplace. A long table provides plugins for laptops against a far wall, while the lovely courtyard has a furnished gazebo for alfresco dining.

The hotel is situated at the end of a quiet dead-end street that’s just off S. Milton Road, Flagstaff’s main thoroughfare. It’s close to where Interstate 17 intersects with Interstate 40, so connections throughout Flagstaff and beyond are convenient. The size and configuration of La Quinta's guest rooms varies somewhat, but they all share the same pleasant, contemporary decor -- though it's a bit dated and some rooms show some signs of wear and tear. Walls are painted white (some rooms have gold accent walls behind the beds) and patterned carpet is gold and aqua blue. Contemporary art matches the carpet color scheme, and drapes are light brown. The bright white duvets are accented by bed throws in silver patterns and light green bed skirts. The matching reddish-brown wood furniture includes headboards, nightstands, desks, dressers, and upholstered chairs. Kings add red recliners, and King Suites have green sleeper sofas and armchairs in separate living areas that include second TVs and kitchenettes with sinks. 

Guest rooms are generally clean, quiet, and offer ample space for comfort. Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Many rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges. Bathrooms are equally clean and spacious, with roomy white acrylic vanities, white or beige tile floors, and acrylic shower/tub inserts. Suites offer additional vanities just outside the bathrooms. Views are mostly of the parking lot and surrounding wooded areas.
