Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach

The Conrad Fort Lauderdale is a stylish, upscale Hilton property popular with families and couples. Opened in 2017, decor is high-end and reflects modern interpretations of the ocean and subtle maritime references. The chic lobby furniture is sourced from Spain and the hand-woven glass light fixture hanging from the ceiling acts as a homage to ocean mist. Suite bathrooms are outfitted with orange-flecked Italian marble, and the Atlas Cocktail Lounge has a blue-mirrored wall behind the bar. The vibe at Conrad Fort Lauderdale is affluent and stylish without being trendy or overly pretentious. Expect natural light, sophisticated color schemes, and guests that tend to keep to themselves. However, the frequent presence of families with young kids -- particularly at the small pool -- can disrupt peace-seeking couples.

The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach has an oceanfront location off A1A Highway, right across the street from North Beach. It's also four blocks from the Intracoastal Waterway. This is a tourist area, and the Conrad's closest neighbors are mostly other hotels, though there are also shops and restaurants in the immediate surrounds. Guests can reach the popular Las Olas Boulevard within a 15-minute walk. There's also a public bus stop for two different lines on the main road in front of the hotel. The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is a 20-minute drive away, while Miami International Airport is just over an hour by car. 

This property has 290 self-catering suites with a sleek, modern design and upscale amenities. Lots of wood, neutral-tone linens and sofa beds, and the odd pop of beach-inspired blue in artwork and throw pillows creates a soothing, sophisticated look. Nespresso machines with free pods, a choice between three luxury brands of bath products, Egyptian cotton sheets, pillow menus, and custom Serta beds add comfort. Marble bathrooms stand out with spacious showers -- plus soaking tubs in some -- bathrobes, hairdryers, and orange-flecked Italian marble. 

Studio Suites start off with two queen beds, roomy balconies with either intracoastal or oceanfront views, and stylish cushioned chairs, plus desks and flat-screen TVs. These modern spaces have galley kitchenettes featuring a two-burner stovetops, mini-fridges, and Nespresso machines. Upgrades to Junior Suites add more space, plus sitting areas with posh, L-shaped couches and larger furnished balconies. Junior Suite Poolsides replace balconies with open-air verandas facing the pool. 

One-Bedroom Suites come with larger kitchens featuring a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, and island breakfast bar, plus multiple balconies. The only exception is the One-bedroom Partial Ocean which has a galley kitchenette, half bath, and Juliette balcony. Two-Bedroom Suites add an extra bedroom, while the Three-Bedroom Suites have a more residential vibe, panoramic views of the ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, and a massive terrace space. 

North Fort Lauderdale Beach is located across the main road, and is open to the public. However, guests at Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach have a dedicated space with beach chairs, umbrellas, and daybeds. Beach attendants are available to help with towels and chairs, but there is no food or drink service on the beach. Expect soft sands and warm waters for most of the year, though there can be occasional bouts of seaweed. 

The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach’s restaurants largely receive positive reviews, though Terra Mare remains a favorite. Terra Mare features a surf and turf menu with a South Florida twist thanks to locally sourced ingredients, and dishes are served family-style in large portions that are meant to be shared. Other food options include the Spinnaker Pool Grill (a small, casual poolside spot) and the Cornucopia Gourmet Market, which functions much like a deli with artisanal breads, fresh juices, pastries, and grab-and-go items from chips to sodas. There's no service down on the beach area, but guests can buy picnic baskets here to nosh on in the sand. 

The hotel’s main bar space is the upscale, nautical-themed Atlas Cocktail Lounge, a half-level down from the main lobby. The focus here is interactive cocktails crafted by mixologists, plus semi-private lounge seating and a few spaces at the bar. In addition to a full bar, there’s also a small tapas menu with popular flatbreads. 

Room service is available 24/7. 

Panoramic ocean views and a small pool are the big draw up on the sixth-floor Sky Deck. Guests can relax on one of the first-come, first-serve padded sunbeds or pay extra to rent a cabana. Expect a casual, family-friendly vibe, plus a full-service bar and small hot tub. 

State-of-the-art Life Fitness machines and free morning yoga allow guests to squeeze in a workout at the fitness center. The gym comes with gorgeous views of the ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, and guests can help themselves to fresh fruit, headphones, water, and chilled towels. A small spa has just three treatment rooms, and guests can expect a menu stocked full of aromatherapy treatments, crystal-infused water, and small locker rooms with steam rooms. 

Go H20 by Funky Fish keeps kids 4 to 17 years old busy from morning to mid-afternoon with ocean-focused programming and activities like beach cleanups, marine education, and outdoor sports. Rates have daily or weekly options. 

The hotel’s meeting and event space includes a ballroom with ocean views, smaller indoor and outdoor event space, and a few breakout rooms. Catering and audiovisual equipment are available for an extra fee. 

The daily resort fee (common for the area) covers two chairs and an umbrella on the beach, bike rental, 24-hour access to the gym, and a discount at the hotel spa and use of the steam room. Valet parking is available for an extra fee. Other features include a hotel app, in-house Italian tailor, and a business center with two workstations and printers. Wi-Fi is free, and all types of pets are accepted for a flat fee.
