Bottom Line

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Worth is a mid-range chain hotel with clean and spacious two-room suites in the heart of Fort Worth’s business district. It’s a brief walk or short free trolley ride to the convention center and Sundance Square Plaza, with dozens of restaurants and shops in between. Suites feature separate living rooms and include wet bars, mini-fridges, microwaves, and two flat-screen TVs. Guests rave about the free, cooked-to-order breakfast and free evening reception. The valet parking and indoor pool are also attractive amenities, and the extensive meeting space makes it a popular spot for business and social events. As an alternative, the downtown Hilton Fort Worth typically offers slightly better rates, but it doesn’t include a free breakfast.

Embassy Suites by Hilton Fort Worth Downtown

Scene

Classy business hotel in the heart of downtown

Popular with business travelers and vacationers alike, this hotel features a dark and sophisticated -- but smallish -- lobby with beige tile floors and dark wood columns and reception desks. A large round chandelier casts a soft light on the space. A lovely but subdued sitting area is nearby with intricately patterned carpets and comfortable chairs and bench sofas along one wall. The breakfast area in the atrium is a larger and more open space with potted trees. It’s the center of social activity at this well-maintained downtown hotel.

Location

In the heart of downtown Fort Worth, a brief walk to Sundance Square Plaza

The Embassy Suites is located in the heart of Fort Worth’s downtown business district, just a four-minute walk to Sundance Square Plaza and an eight-minute walk to the convention center. Surrounding streets are full of dozens of restaurants and shops. The city’s free downtown trolley service stops at the hotel, making any downtown destination only a few minutes away. The Historic Stockyards are about 10 minutes by car or 25 minutes by public transit. The Fort Worth Intermodal Transportation Center downtown is a seven-minute walk or three minutes by car or trolley. Once there, public transit to downtown Dallas and DFW International Airport takes about an hour and a half, or around 30 to 40 minutes by car. Driving to the AT&T Stadium takes around half an hour, while it's around 20 to 25 minutes by car to Six Flags Over Texas.

Rooms

Clean and spacious with separate living rooms but with smallish bathrooms

Guest rooms at this Embassy Suites have a subdued and predictable modern look that suits its status as a mid-range, business-oriented hotel. All rooms feature a dark decor scheme, with blueish-gray carpets that match the upholstered sleeper sofas in the living rooms. Walls have beige wallpaper, but the matching wood furniture is a dark reddish brown, and the drapes are dark, with multicolored stripes. Beds have beige padded headboards and matching bedskirts with bright white duvets. Bedrooms and living rooms both have 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The living rooms include spacious desks that can double as small dining tables, plus two upholstered chairs. Tan granite-topped wet bars are outfitted with microwaves, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges. And the same tan granite tops the spacious, dark-wood vanity sinks, which are placed just outside bathrooms. The bathrooms are small and simple, with beige tile floors and walls framing the shower/tub combos.

The two-room suites come in one king or two-queen options, with Executive Suites on the top floors where there is less street noise. There's also a king option with a whirlpool tub and a two-queen option that includes a six-person boardroom wired for AV technology.

Room service is available, and newspapers are delivered each day. But guests should note that some suites do allow smoking and only service animals are allowed in the suites. Upper-floors suites have nice views of downtown streets and office buildings, but some other units face other rooms.
