Bristol Hotel Frankfurt

The Bristol Hotel Frankfurt’s central location and sleek interior designs suit tourists and business travelers alike. The seven-story hotel’s purple-framed entrance is on a busy street and leads to a lobby with unique pillow seating, dark wood floors, end tables, a magazine rack, and pops of Asian decor. 

An equally trendy bar is eclectically decorated with bright red painted walls, an industrial bar area, and puffy pillow benches and chairs. The bar serves homestyle American and German fare. The breakfast room features dark wood furniture and floors, beige cushioned booths and large windows that overlook the garden. There are also flat-screen TVs inset in the walls and a free continental buffet. The Summer Lounge -- which is open in the warmer months -- offers cocktails in a serene setting with lounge music, wooden planked patios, cushioned sofas, and lanterns dangling from trees. Note that smoking is allowed in both the bar and the Summer Lounge.

The hotel attracts business travelers and vacationers who want to be in the heart of the city. The Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (central train station) is a five-minute walk and the Messe Frankfurt Torhaus conference center takes under 10 minutes by car. It’s a 12-minute drive to the Frankfurt Airport, which can also be reached in under 20 minutes by public transport. The English Theatre takes just over 10 minutes by car or public transport. The Stadel Museum is a seven-minute drive or 20-minute walk away. The Frankfurt Zoo is a half-hour tram ride away.

The hotel offers four room types: Large Doubles, Doubles, Singles, and Small Singles. All have minibars, safes, flat-screen TVs, bottle openers, and writing desks. Decor includes dark wood headboards and wardrobes and brown-and-white striped carpeting.  Bathrooms are contemporary if a bit plain and have walk-in showers or shower/tub combos (in Large Doubles). Large Double Rooms feature sitting areas, iPod docks, and sofa beds. Note that rooms lack air-conditioning and some smell of cigarette smoke. As the hotel is located on a busy road, street-facing rooms can be noisy. 

The hotel offers two bright and modern meeting rooms. The Memphis Meeting Room fits between 12 to 25 people, while the Manhattan Meeting Room is accommodates 20 to 60 guests. The room offers a coffee station, a projector with a screen, a flat-screen TV, and large windows that overlook the garden. The breakfast room is also available for private functions. There are also two computer terminals in the lobby with free Internet access for guests. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. In-room massages are available and Bristol guests get discounted rates at the nearby MeridianSpa Skyline Plaza Frankfurt.
