The Sheraton Frankfurt Airport Hotel and Conference Center serves as a luxury business retreat in Terminal 1. The nine-floor hotel first opened in 1975. It mostly attracts business travelers and those on layovers. There are two glass footbridges that connect to the airport. Marble floors cover the hotel’s lobby, and common areas are bathed in natural light, thanks to skylight ceilings. Striped carpeting lines the hallways with four elevators. Some furnishings, however, could use a refresh.There are 60 modern meeting rooms, fitting up to 1,200 people. The Congress Center -- with 8,072 square feet of space -- can be split into three rooms. The two-floor Skyloft holds up to 250 people. Video conferencing, modern audiovisual equipment and catering are available. The 24-hour business center offers two PC computers, business services, and meeting tables.The Link@Sheraton workstation also offers free Wi-Fi. The Sheraton Club Lounge, with free access with certain room rates, has a bright lounge with coffee available, a flat-screen TV, meeting rooms, two PC computers, and a printer.Two gyms provide an array of cardio- and weight-training equipment, free weights, and saunas. The larger gym -- with more equipment -- also has a lounge and a steam room.
