The Pure

The Pure is an upper-middle-range hotel that -- despite its contemporary, stark-white decor -- strives to offer a homey atmosphere to its guests, who are a mix of business and leisure travelers.  The front desk doubles as a bar, and guests are often given a free beverage at check-in. The bar is illuminated and features three stools and glowing liquor shelves. Artist Stefan Strumbel’s work is on display in the lobby. The Living Room lounge has white leather sofas and orange and yellow lights. There’s also a breakfast section with white booths where a small, free buffet breakfast is served daily. The garden patio -- with a wooden deck and stylish white furniture -- is surrounded by plants, creating a serene atmosphere that can be rented out for private functions. Hallways are decorated in parquet floors and feature skylights on the top story, and there's a winding staircase flanked with windows. The hotel's eco-friendly efforts include providing guests who skip daily housekeeping with bar vouchers or charity donations.

The hotel is conveniently close to Frankfurt’s public transportation and the business district, in an area packed with restaurants and bars. Trams run in front of the hotel. A five-minute walk takes guests to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof, the city's central station. It’s a 13-minute walk to the Congress Center Messe Frankfurt and 10 minutes on the S-Bahn to the Messe Frankfurt Torhaus. The Opera House is a 14-minute walk away while the English Theatre takes around 12 minutes. The Stadel Museum is a 17-minute walk. The airport takes 14 minutes to reach by car.

Rooms are modern but simple and feature oak parquet flooring, writing desks, dark-wood furniture, and white textiles. The hotel offers Single and Double Rooms with flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, iPod docks, free Wi-Fi, digital safes, bathrobes, and slippers. Sleek white and silver fixtures give bathrooms a fresh feeling, and either walk-in showers or shower/tub combos are available. Windows or shared balconies with patio furniture look out on a rear courtyard or the Frankfurt street. Pets are allowed in rooms for a fee. Guests recommend rooms facing the courtyard for a quieter night’s sleep, as street-facing rooms, particularly those on lower levels, can get noisy. Single rooms have small beds.

The Pure's small, clean, stylish spa offers massage services through Gentle Touch, a mobile spa, and is open around the clock. There’s a sauna, a steam room, and two wooden lounge chairs. The hotel can also arrange in-room massage services for guests. The tiny gym, also open 24/7, offers a couple of cardio machines and a set of free weights, and has a mounted flat-screen TV. Two bicycles are available to rent from the front desk.
