The Highlands Condominium

Scene

A quiet, family-owned property with fantastic mountain views throughout

A quiet, peaceful atmosphere flows throughout the family-owned property, as do exceptional mountain views. The modern lobby has wood floors, a gray stone front desk, and large windows. Coffee is served for free. An outdoorsy, natural theme runs throughout the property, with mountain- and bear-themed art in the public areas. Grounds include stone fountains, trees, and shrubs, and are beautifully maintained. Families are a common sight here, along with couples on vacation. The hotel is owned and operated by a husband and wife team.

Rooms

Homey and comfortable, with full kitchens and balconies with excellent mountain views

One- to Three-Bedroom Condos and Townhomes are available, and all are individually decorated with outdoorsy, natural themes, from textiles to wall art. Each has a homey ambience and flooring ranges from tan carpet to wood floors to tan tile, but the style from unit to unit varies widely here. While some accommodations are handsome (like the Two Bedroom Townhome we visited), others are outdated, with tube-style TVs, old carpet and wallpaper, and tired design elements. Living rooms have plush sofas and armchairs in addition to large sliding glass doors for natural light. Fully-equipped kitchens offer stoves, dishwashers, full-size refrigerators, microwaves, toasters, and coffeemakers, and some have granite countertops. Mid-tone wood furniture, flat-screen TVs, and earth tones make up the bedrooms, and some have large windows and skylights.

All units have stone fireplaces plus furnished balconies and exquisite mountain views. Additionally, some units have loft spaces with seating, laundry facilities, and multiple bed- and bathrooms. Guests should keep in mind that rooms are only serviced by request. Contemporary bathrooms are decorated with light countertops and neutral tile throughout and many feature white shower/tub combos. Some have large jetted tubs while others have walk-in tile showers with pebble flooring, or massive glassed-in showers. Generic bar soap and a wall-mounted hairdryer are provided.

There isn't a restaurant or bar, and breakfast is not served.
