Standing four floors high and sporting the typical Comfort Suites look -- buildings painted yellow and salmon -- this property features a fine lobby with an open floor plan that's accentuated by a vaulted stacked-stone fireplace. It adds a cozy touch to what is otherwise a simple and straightforward value hotel. There are a couple of comfortable seating areas with couches and coffee tables by the windows, and a large, modern chandelier hanging overhead. The breakfast room has wooden tables and tall chairs, but it doesn't get much natural light as the one window is typically covered with curtains. Aside from these few common areas, the hotel is geared towards travelers who aren't looking to spend all of their time hanging out on-site. Clientele is an even mix of vacationing families and business travelers.

The hotel is located along the busy Baltimore Pike next door to the Gettysburg National Battlefield and Memorial Park, just south of Gettysburg's historic downtown. Guests can walk to the Gettysburg Address Memorial in five minutes, and many rooms look out upon Gettysburg National Cemetery. Pike Restaurant and Lounge is located on the other side of the hotel. Town Square -- with its many historic sites, shops, restaurants, and pubs -- is just under a 20-minute walk away, or five minutes by car. Gettysburg College is about a seven-minute drive from the hotel. Hersheypark takes just over an hour to reach by road for guests with children (or thrill ride enthusiasts). Harrisburg International Airport is a 55-minute drive from the hotel, while Baltimore/Washington International Airport is an hour and 15 minutes away by car.

There are 145 rooms at this hotel, all of which are clean, modern, and spacious. Decor is somewhat predictable and plain, but each room has at least one large framed print and a potted plant. Beds are plush and come with a variety of pillows, and rooms are equipped with mini-fridges, microwaves, flat-screen TVs, and coffeemakers. Suites include sofa beds and Family Suites have separate rooms with enough beds to accommodate seven people. Many rooms look directly out upon the Gettysburg National Cemetery and are quiet, picking up virtually no outside noise. The hotel has an eco-friendly policy that allows guests to opt out of daily housekeeping in return for a credit on their bill.
