Guests at this Sleep Inn and Suites are greeted in a warm and inviting lobby where cozy, contemporary couches and armchairs flank a fireplace, while plenty of potted plants and greenery add to the homey atmosphere of the space. A mix of tile and wooden floors pairs well with the dark wood furnishings that include the front desk and a tall communal table for guests to gather at. The pleasant green and brown color scheme includes an olive-hued accent wall with a white, nature-themed design that adds a stylish touch to the lobby sitting area. The breakfast room features a similar color palette and dark wood furnishings. Oftentimes, interiors are decorated to reflect an upcoming holiday, providing a festive, seasonal vibe for guests. As of early 2016, the hotel has plans for renovations, so guests can expect some construction and changes in the future, including an addition of rooms and new facilities. The majority of the clientele here are families exploring the historic attractions of the town, though the hotel also attracts couples. 

Sleep Inn and Suites is located on the eastern edge of the city and not within walking distance of top attractions, though most of these are a short drive away. Sights like the Gettysburg Battlefield and National Military Park, the Gettysburg Cyclorama, and the Eisenhower National Historic Site are between a 10- to 15-minute drive from the hotel. The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg and Gettysburg College are both a seven-minute drive away. There's not much within walking distance, though there is a movie theater and a handful of restaurants that can be reached on foot. Gettysburg Regional Airport is a 13-minute drive from the hotel. 

Guest room decor is modern with wooden headboards, warm green walls, and white linens with brown coverlets. The navy, gray, and white floral bed runners and black-and-white photographs give the rooms a trendy edge, while art pieces depicting the Gettysburg Battle provide a historical element. The carpet is a bit worn (though the hotel has plans to replace it soon). All rooms have flat-screen TVs, coffee/tea makers, mini-fridges, and microwaves, while some also have sleeper sofas. Large granite vanity sinks are separate from toilets and shower/tub combos, allowing both to be utilized at once. Some rooms have whirlpools, plus hairdryers and toiletries are provided in all. Guests should note that some complaints have been made about noise from the highway and other rooms.

Sleep Inn and Suites has a full list of mid-range features, but they're all rather limited. Though there's no full restaurant, a free daily hot breakfast is served in the mornings, while homemade cookies and refreshments are offered in the afternoons. The hotel offers a small indoor heated pool as well as a petite fitness room, which is minimally outfitted with towels, two cardio machines, and a weight machine. Guests can make use of the coin-operated laundry room, as well as a business center: a single work station with a computer and a printer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property, and parking is free as well.
