Inside, the hotel features an urban-industrial style, showcasing some of the old printing machinery in the central glass atrium, as well as exposed brick walls in many of the common areas. The 104 guest rooms are arranged around the central atrium, and spread across five floors -- providing an open and airy feel throughout the corridors. Everything in The Z Hotel Glasgow has been designed to best utilize its limited available space, though this does mean that rooms are compact. While there is no full restaurant on-site, there is a small bar serving drinks and light snacks -- with free wine-and-cheese gatherings each evening, which help add a social vibe to the property. Expect to see a lot of solo travelers and younger couples at this hotel, many drawn by the wallet-friendly rates, great location, and on-trend decor.

The Z Hotel Glasgow has a great central location -- situated on a side street right next to George Square and its grand City Chambers, and a three-minute walk to Queen Street Station. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and local pubs surrounding the hotel, and Buchanan Street -- Glasgow's most popular shopping area -- is an easy five-minute walk past George Square. It's a six-minute walk to The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and a 12-minute walk to Glasgow's theater district -- including Theatre Royal, Pavilion Theatre, and Kings Theatre. Travelers can get to the banks of the Clyde River within a 12-minute walk from the hotel, while the Riverside Museum is a 15-minute cab ride (or a 25-minute trip on public transport). There's a bus stop right outside the hotel at George Square, the Buchanan Street Subway stop is a four-minute walk, and it's a nine-minute walk to Glasgow Central Station. Expect a 20-minute drive to the airport, or 30 minutes on public transport.
